  • Great motherboard but pricey
Mostly bought it because it supports bios flashback which made installing my 5600x easy. Rgb is nice and the beta version of polychrome sync detects my rgb ram so it looks good. Polychrome beta doest seem to support razer chroma rgb. Option is there but can't be selected. Other than that it works fine no issues with ram compatibility bios flashback was easy enough. Only thing is its quite expensive and other board manufacturers feature bios flashback on less expensive boards. But I liked the look of this motherboard so I went with it and am not disappointed nice quality. ... show more

  • I love how good it looks.
I love how good the black with a touch of Gold looks. A little touch of RGB for those who like it, and everything works perfectly. Very happy so far hopefully it stays that way.

  • Very pretty, with RGB control from the BIOS
I have only built with Asus boards until buying this Asrock motherboard. The bios is certainly not polished and optimized like Asus' is. The Bios was not 5000 series ready. The fan speed is apparently offset 20 degrees in bios so out of the box it revved the fans up really high and reported the temp in bios (doing nothing basically) as 70C. Asrock did not respond at all to an inquiry about this sent via their website. Luckily through forums and reddit I was able to find the 20 degree offset solution. Also boot time leaves something to be desired compared to Asus as well. The protective plastic around the I/O heatsinks seems to be installed UNDER screwed down parts so the likely hood that your peel will end with a little piece of plastic stuck somewhere is pretty high. I am not sure why the 4th product photo that's in Japanese shows 3 M.2 slots, the board I got including it's manual and all reviews and builds I've seen with this board only have 2 M.2 slots. There isn't one in the middle like shown in that pic. Maybe there is a different one released in Japan that has 3 but this one doesn't. However the price (189.99USD) was really good for this board, it's BEAUTIFUL, especially for anyone who likes the steampunk aesthetic. They should combine that moving gear near the I/O area they had on one of the Intel Taichi boards to all Taichi Boards in addition to the one that seems to serve as the chipset heatsinks. Motherboard manufacturers seem to skimp on visuals for AMD boards compared to Intel ones. Tisk, Tisk! You also get control of RGB through he bios which I think ALL motherboards should include because NOT EVERYONE IS ON WINDOWS and can download windows only RGB control apps. YES, Linux users matter. Plus the RGB control is very well done and I could get the EXACT color I wanted pretty easily. This B550 Taichi is pretty souped up and comparable to the X570 Taichi (in some ways better) I think to get all of these features you'd have to pay an arm and a leg if it was another brand. I see the differences as an OK trade off. Bells, whistles, eye candy, features, great price, in exchange for the polished Asus bios I'm used to, fair enough. ... show more

  • Broke after less than a year of owning
This motherboard was very pretty and made my system look nice when I got it. But it started having issues 9 months after putting it into my rig. Since it has been more than 3 months I would have to buy a new replacement.

  • Great purchase
I bought this motherboard a while back and I must say I am loving it, I used a few ASRock motherboards back in the days of sempron processors then I switched to Asus, biggest mistake, I switched back to ASRock and none of the issues I had with the others boards happened again, good bios UI, overclocking is a breeze. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Make sure to update BIOS prior to installing Ryzen 5000 cpu's.
What I like it was easy to use, the instructions easy to follow, and it enhanced my PC setup. What I dislike is the RGB/ARGB controls software from Asrock. Got stuck with the limit RGB/ARGB controls from ASRRGB software. However, I am overall happy with my purchase. My Asus Tuf B550 Plus was good with RGB/ARGB controls but, needed a better motherboard to handle my Ryzen 9 5900x with more power input. ... show more

  • Good
BIOS UI is kind of crappy, but everything works great once you don't have to mess with it. Booting UEFI USB did not work until after updating the BIOS, ASrock please, it is 2021. Your M.2 heatsinks will not work because the standoff they included has too much dead space between where the drive sits and where the screw goes in, and they also have some support below glued on designed for naked m.2 cards, so you are forced to use the motherboard one, it also uses non standard screws for absolutely no reason. I/O could have a few more USB ports. ... show more
