I’ve tried all the usuals and this is the best coffee for me in the morning. It’s not bitter and therefore doesn’t need a ton of sugar, it has a lovely medium roast balance and just tastes great.

A nice alternative to Starbucks, Pike's Place.

I've been drinking Pike's Place for the longest time, and enjoy it. The quality is consistent and it's priced reasonably. However, after trying Caribou Coffee (Mahogany blend) at the Denver airport recently, I decided to experiment more. Trying new coffees requires the acceptance of the risk that you
'll buy a bag of coffee, not like it, and throw it in the trash (I recently did this with a dark roast). Then there is the joy of finding a coffee that you'll find enjoyable. I think the Caribou blend is that type of coffee. It's balanced (not bitter, has a hint of chocolate), something that you would find as the main medium roast coffee offering of a restaurant or coffee shop. I like it more than the Mahogany blend, and it's smoother than Starbucks Pike Place. It's hard to describe taste, since it's highly subjective, but I do find the coffee enjoyable and would recommend it to others looking for an excellent coffee that isn't expensive.

UPDATE: This time my order arrived with a small hole in an odd place. Not sure how this would have happened, granted it was shipped and the plain plastic bag type mailer with plenty of give. But this damage appears as thpugh it would have been made before being mailed. There is no sign of damage to t
he packaging and the hole is under/within the fold area on the side of the coffee bag. No ides how long bag has been unsealed, no idea if malicious intent involved, just not worth the risk in this day and age for me. Amazon was perfectly professional in handling the refund with no fuss. I will pick up a bag locally and try this service again in the future. I picked these up to try in my Breville Barista Pro espresso machine, they have not disappointed. Their roasting has been consistent and flawless, the bean really does make the difference. I start the day with a triple shot and 1/2c steamed whole milk and 1 tsp of Stevia. Just the perfect cup of Good Morning!

Not bad, but not very robust

This coffee was pretty okay. I wasn't impressed with the roast, it didn't seem like a dark roast to me, but in all fairness I like a very, very dark coffee. Smelled amazing of course and the price for the bag size is stellar.
