My 10 year old minature poodle has been using the Potty Patch ("PP") his whole life. Over the years, the PP grass pad has gotten harder to find and more expensive. When I searched Amazon to buy another, I came across the Pick for Life ("PFL") brand which has 2 grass pads and $10 less than the PP. The PFL brand was slightly wider than the PP, (20" as opposed to 17") but I cut it fit on the PP base. After using the PFL grass pad for a week, I have to say it works well and highly recommend it! We also use 2 regular absorbing pee pads underneath the grass pad we replace weekly to make clean up easier. ... show more

I got this because I foster puppies from neonates until the age of 8wks. This means I must teach them the basics of potty training for their sake, my sanity, and to ensure things go well in their new home. Potty pads work, but if you have more than one puppy the potty pad becomes a play thing. This is where the turf piece came in handy. Instead of noticing the potty pad, the puppies automatically made the connection to the turf outside and started using the turf. I’m sure the smell of the potty pad helped, and in no time we were able to remove the whelping pad from the xpen. I like to keep my xpen clean, so I clean up in between potty pad changes, which happen at meals (quite often). Even though urine gets through 98% of the time. Poop is tricky. I wouldn’t mention it had we had the same issue with the turf outside. However, I had a hard time removing it. Even though it was fresh. Sorry for the TMI, however once taken outside to wash with dish soap and the hose, it did come right off. The one thing I really did not like at all was the awful smell when I pulled the turf out of the package. It took about three washes to get the smell out. I recommend getting a back up set depending on the size you are looking to cover indoors, so it has time to dry and air out. Also, it says you can wait to wash it about once a week. I wouldn’t. I have 3, 5week old puppies using them. I have to wash them every two days. So unless you have a single chihuahua, I wouldn’t wait that long. I’ve been using the product for 2 weeks, and it’s holding up well. I am washing it more often than recommended, so we will see how long it holds up. I have many more puppies to foster in my future 😉 ... show more

We just bought this product and the P from the dog was not absorbed. It was all over made the bottom of our terrace yellow and pee all over. Would never buy this product again. Would love it. If you refunded our money I can send you back the ones that we haven’t used.

This product is smaller every time I order it. I am going to buy a different brand next time. It is an inch short on one side and 1/2 short on the other. At this small size it makes a difference. Otherwise pretty good quality.

My pup has only been going on this grass pad for a couple of weeks now. Not on the floor. It is large for her 8lb self lol. It took only a couple of days before she started using it. I put pads under it. I clean it in the wash basin in the basement. When it gets nice out I am going to cut it in half. Part inside and part outside. ... show more
