The opening is large so there isn’t as much of an issue fighting other people to take a dip, and it’s easier to fish lost pieces of bread out. I had some trepidation about how difficult it would be to get the right temperature. I set the dial at about 2 o’clock and that did the trick. So nice not to mess around with Sterno! It was very easy to clean up, even with some burnt cheese on the bottom. The magnet holding the power cord on seemed to be just the right strength. If your looking for a good Fondue set up this one I’d recommend. We wouldn’t review it till we used it several times. Just follow instructions and prep the ceramic pot before using. Easy set up , easy to use , and easy clean up.

We have used this pot for both cheese and chocolate fondue and we loved that we could do it all in one pot: cook the fondue and serve it. I had used the fondue pots with the alcohol/gel fuel in the past and this is SO much better. The heat is even, it is easily adjusted and you do not have to worry about running out of fuel. It was very easy to clean. I knocked off one star because the directions were worhtless and the settings for heat are not well marked. You have to figure it all out with a little trial/error but we did that fairly quickly. We would buy again. ... show more

This was a very nice fondue pot. Very easy to use with extra features to prevent spilling if you trip on the cord. It was convenient to have a pot that is removable from the heating mechanism.

I bought 2 of these for a fondue bar I had planned for Christmas Eve. They are beautiful and It was easy to control and regulate the heat for the chocolate and cheese. I especially like the fact that they are electric.... flames scare me a little when there are lots fo kids running around. After just an hour of operation this POS quit oscillating! I tried various settings to no avail, and checked to see if the strainer screen was blocked where the hose connects; it was clear. Not only that, but only the male portion of a quick connect hose adapter was included. How lame and useless is that??!! As cheap as this model is it`s not worth the hassle to return it.
