I was in the fence about buying these because I wasn't sure how they would look in person, and none of the pictures seemed that vibrant. But I'm so glad I did because these are so cool! Really easy to put on and made doing my nails really fun. Loved all of the end results and it looks so much more mesmerizing and pretty in person. I think these stayed really well and I didn't notice any coming off (I had a top coat over). A little does spill when you put it on, but it didn't really make a mess. As for functionality, didn't impair me in any way and I got a lot of compliments on these! The media could not be loaded. Depending on which top coat you use, how long you cure, and whether or not you wipe the top coat before you apply the pigments, you can either get a shimmery/ glitter look or more chrome like. From my own experience, I've had the best luck and easiest time pairing these pigments with the beetles gel top coat even though it doesn't say it's no wipe. I'll put a thin coat over a black background, cure for 10 seconds, then apply pigment to get the shimmery/ glitter look. To achieve the chrome finish, I've noticed you have to wipe the top coat off first with a cleanser or mild acetone. After that I put another top coat on and cure for the full 90 seconds. The overall quality is fantastic, the product comes with a lot of pigments and an equal amount of the dual sided eyeshadow applicators for you to apply the pigments with. The containers can be a little messy though, I've accidentally spilled some of the colors quite a few times because they pack a lot of product into such a small container. Overall it was definitely worth the price and I'd highly recommend to those who are skeptical. You get a lot of product, especially since you barely have to use any to achieve quality results, the colors are gorgeous, and you can easily do metallic and chrome nails at home! ... show more

Edit: 11/21 I put these down for a little while since I was initially not happy with it. Watched some YT videos on different approaches to this and found the one that works (for me)! Now, I absolutely LOVE these. There are a few that ARE just glitter powder but most actually are the mirror/chrome powders I wanted. I get the best clean look when I make sure to do a few important things. 1) make sure your nails are clean, SMOOTHE, and oil free. BUFF THE SURFACE 2) use a latex brush on-peel off tape around your nail bed right up to the edges of your cuticles and sides. This way you don't need to worry about being neat. 3) use a no-wipe top coat and cure for a little over half the recommended time on the bottle. I didn't like using a black color base coat initially so I've only used clear base and these still show well 3) I use a small makeup brush (like a little blush brush) to apply and sweep it on. I dab the brush in the powder then sweep down onto my nails a few times till I see the shine. I put a kleenex under my hands. As I move from one nail to the other I simply dab into the excess powder that falls onto the kleenex before going back to the pot. I don't like feeling like I'm wasting the powder. (I just ordered the powder recycle cup) then I use a regular blush brush to brush my nails off and apply another top coat. I've applied up to 2 coats of powder. Anything more than that and it looks clownish. After your last top coat, just peel off the latex cuticle tape, wash your hands with regular soap and water. Done! This whole process takes me less than 30 min for a satisfactory finish on both hands. I can do it so quickly b/c the cuticle peel off tape means I don't need to worry about being super neat. If I rub across my cuticles with either the gel or powder that part is going to be peeled away anyway. For the most part my nails end up with the chrome look and just a hint of glitter/sparkle which I love! Also: DO NOT use cuticle oil or body oil for a little while after applying. It will lift the gel right off your nail. I learned this the hard way. Regular lotion is fine. Get a gel polish remover that brushes on. It makes removal SO much easier, faster, and with zero damage to your nails. No harsh fileing needed. Just brush it on, wait about 5-10 min depending on how many coats of powder/ polish you applied, then use an orange stick or another flat tool to simply push the powder right of your nail. You will literally SEE it lifting off before you even touch it. Original review: I like the colors though some are very close/similar in color. But these are glittery not chrome. I've tried them with a black base, a white base, a clear base and they look the same each time. Glittery but not chrome. Not even a mirror shine. The top coat makes it look like any other nail polish shine but no chrome and no mirror shine at all. I gave it 2 stars only because the colors are pretty, it's easy to apply, the quantity is really good, and it arrived in packaged well. ... show more

Really cool stuff. I used it on top of gel polish - it didn’t last as long as using on top of one coat of regular polish (with clear gel top coat cured under iv lamp) but yeah I love this stuff. Makes any polish look super cool. Recommend

This powder was really easy and self explanatory to use. The color looks just like its advertised. You get ALOT of powder considering how little you need for each application. The quality is good and the little applicator brushes give it a nice smooth look and texture. You have to be careful though because the containers are really full and may spill if you're not careful.
