    • Great storage containers but not as durable as the older versions
These are just the right size to store a lot of things, pre-cooked and fresh or frozen. The lids snap on but once in a while one corner snaps off on its own. One of them developed a crack in the bottom, rendering it useless. It did so after using it once. So I would suggest that the plastic is not uniformly distributed in quality. So a much sloppier manufacture than nearly identical ones made 30 years ago. ... show more

    • These are alright
I was a little disappointed with these when they first arrived - seemed a little flimsy for the money...I guess I was expecting something akin to the old tupperware square containers from my childhood - more rubbery and easy to seal. These are harder plastic and take a little more 'knack' to get the top on tight. I ordered them because they were square - thought they'd be easier to pour out of versus my go-to container of Ball wide mouth glass jars. And they are. In fact you can bend back one corner and pour (careful though, it's an acquired skill). Apparently these contain neither B's, nor P's nor A's for you chemists out there. I'm glad I got them, if only to cut down on 'spilt milk'. Addendum August 17th: I just added a fifth star after using them for a little over a month - are working out even better than I expected and I think they're going to be durable too. The top is easy once you get the hang of it and the hardness of the plastic is probably a plus. Square is great for pouring, too. ... show more

    • They just don't make them like they used to
I've been buying freezer containers since the 1970s, and I've seen the quality go down somewhat in that time period. I would have given this product a higher rating if I had not used it before and know that the lids are flimsy and don't last as long as the container itself. However, this is as good a freezer container as I've been able to find. These last longer than those little freezer jam jars, and they come in larger sizes. I don't recommend using these containers in the microwave, although the instructions say you can. I would also wash the lids by hand as they don't last very long when run through the dishwasher. I have a dairy allergy and I make my own fruit sorbets in lieu of ice cream. However I've found some nondairy ice cream recipes and plan to try out some of them. Therefore, I will be using these containers only for freezing foods of that nature. I find that these containers don't shatter if they are dropped in the floor while containing frozen foods like some other plastic containers do.     • One Lid Fits All!
This is my third batch of these containers I've purchased because they're just so great. This batch was specifically for sending leftovers home with my Thanksgiving Guests. Once you learn to get the lids on (press in the middle, not on the sides), it's just so great that you can choose the size of container you need -- but the same lid fits all of them. No more searching for the 'right' lid for the container They're ALL right. One less fussy detail to fragment my life. That's five stars right there. ... show more
