This is my second order of these storage containers. Have used them multiple times for freezer storage and hold up without any problems. Also have used for warming contents in microwave from refrigerator or freezer and they work without any damage.

    • Super Useful. Freezer or Fridge. Consistent Lid Size.
I've now purchased many packs of these, including extras so that when guests come to dinner, they can take home left-overs. They work well in the freezer and in the fridge. They're a little harder to clean than round containers, but way better for stacking and fitting. I have 3 sizes: 16 oz, 24oz and quart - though I don't seem to be able to find the 24oz ones on Amazon anymore - I may have gotten those in my local hardware store. I LOVE the fact that the SAME LID fits all 3 sizes. Oh if only the rest of life were that consistent. THE LIDS: Once you get the hang of how the lids go on and come off (push in the CENTER of the lid to easily secure it on, pull on the little tab on one corner to easily get it off), they work the way everything should work: reliable, consistent, interchangable - and the lids are light green so they're easy to find and easy to store. The ONLY thing I don't love about these containers is that the translucent plastic (rather than clear) makes it hard for me to see what's inside them. That means I need to write out and add labels on every container. But that's just a small bother and in no way impacts their massive level of usefulness. ... show more

I have been using these boxes for years...I have a freezer and it works great to make something and divvy it up into boxes...I have egg casseroles, baked goods, soups...when I worked, it was great to grab a box for lunch...I do not heat anything in the boxes...remove from box into a bowl or whatever...they wash up beautifully in dishwasher...lids and boxes both....this a perfect size for me although they make a larger one as well... ... show more

    • Good at first but now exude a smell into my food.
I was using several of these containers for years. Easy to clean, stack, freeze and perfect size for portions for my use. Over the years some have cracked but I just assumed it was due to multiple use between freezing/thawing. Lids snap on tight for me and I found them sturdy enough. But now I noticed a smell exuding from the plastic container and lids. Didn't think much of it until I could taste that smell in some carrots I had stored in it for eating at work. Now I'm going to switch to another brand where I don't have that off gassing. Still a useful container size if you are not storing food in them or don't care about the odor otherwise. ... show more

I recently ordered a dozen more. They make perfect single servings for the freezer. When I had a family and was younger I used them for frozen jam. Today I use them for individual servings well I have leftovers. I use them for everything except tomato based sauces like spaghetti sauce. Glass jars work great for that. Might go to today is individual soup servings. I still make large pots of soup and then divvy it up in the containers to freeze. No more store soup for me! they store easily because they stack well and use space in my freezer efficiently. Finally, they are very affordable. I was delighted to find them on Amazon because I look for them every year during canning season. They are not easy to find in the stores in this size. I washed them in the top rack of my dishwasher using air dry. He seems to affect their shape a little bit. But it’s not a big deal because I air dry everything in my dishwasher when it is done washing. I can’t say enough about the convenience, efficiency, price and quality. ... show more
