I've already bought this rack for my home stereo but after reading reviews I saw somebody planned to add caster wheels to the base. Great idea. I'd like to add them myself but am stumped as to what size thread? And the stem can't be too long! I'm holding off assembly until I can install the casters. I'm anxious to get started. Thanks. Well, I couldn’t wait. It’s assembled without casters. I’ll install later. This stand is very sturdy. The electric outlets are a great addition as well as the USB ports. All are being used. The light strip is a fun, useful gadget. It’s helpful to see the amplifier. I mounted it closer to the front of the shelf for better usability. I was concerned that the top shelf would be too small for my vintage turntable but it’s plenty big enough. I left out shelf “C” for the subwoofer. Highly recommended. Perfect size for my small office. Edit: I ordered these caster from Amazon (https://a.co/d/duBWjTZ) and they fit perfectly. I was able to install them with the rack fully loaded. Front wheels first, then rear wheels. Tipped it up and stuck a yoga block underneath. No problem. I hope this helps. It’s the M6 stem that is needed. ... show more

Just right. Not fancy but very nice. Fits very well in place and appears to be very sturdy. Enough room for just about everything. If you need more room just buy another one of these shelves. Very easy to assemble. Just the right height and width. Appears to fit most larger units. Check all measurements first. Somethings look very nice in the photos but when you check the measurements, they are clearly too small. I am pleased with this and may be getting another one in the future. ... show more

The reason I didn’t give it a five is because even though the instructions claim it’s very easy to put together there certain parts of it where they need to guide you which direction you should be assembling the item. Because some of the connections look very similar like the plates look like they should be facing a certain direction when they’re the opposite . This is strictly because of the images it seemed very easy once you start connecting One tiny little mistake and sent you back a good example: you had overlap two connections together while leaving a hole in the bottom, even though the image does show it it’s so tiny that it would really help that they either zoomed in onto the image or circle that to force you to look into that spot. Basically to draw attention… Beyond all that the item came out sturdy, but the instruction need to be slightly improved. A good example would be telling somebody to separate all the nails and connections for each phase of the product and set them aside if you’re not used to building things like this it can easily get complicated, even though the instructions are very easy there are crucial points, like having the holes face in certain direction need to be. If you accidentally use the wrong nail, it could go through the plaster so make sure to set everything aside for example. If the nail for constructing part three requires a one, you set it aside and go from there. This is just an example. It’s sturdy and it comes with extra parts. It’s worth it for the value if you’re looking for something simple I just wanted something basic and metal for underneath the TV to hold the equipment.. it’s sturdy and it has enough weight / solid. It will not tip over. It’s also very convenient that it has an electrical outlet which saved me space and not have to go directly to the wall, but rather the power out unit built into the stand. Overall, I have nothing negative to say like I said they should review the instructions and just tweak certain points. Like I said, the images are very large, but they should draw attention to certain points and physically write on the paper or circle it that the hole need to be facing a certain direction because the image does show it but once it becomes cluttered with multiple instructions, it’s very easy to miss. It goes from connecting one to two parts and then eventually once it hits part four there’s nine critical points. ... show more

I gave this rack five stars because it's appropriately priced for what you get. It looks nice and it is pretty sturdy. However, I have some older audio gear that I would not put on this rack. I have 2 amos that weigh 70 pounds each, and this rack would not be safe for those. Assembly is pretty easy just pay attention to the parts which are in marked bags. The one negative is the shelves do scratch easily when you're putting gear onto them. In my case, I fixed scratches with a black sharpie. For modern stereo and home theater equipment that do not have super heavy, toroidal power supplies, this rack is more than acceptable. ... show more

Quality/price ratio is awesome. It's sturdy and big enough to hold everything I need. The LED has tons of features; I use just the steady light but having them is still a plus. Recommend.

Overall the rack is firm and sturdy. It took me approximately 45minutes to assemble it as I dont want any of the surface get scratch. The LED light however only last for 15minutes before it get busted. So bear in mind that its a low quality LED strip attached to it. I bought this unit since it has the light features, but since it got busted its similar to any racks out there, where some are cheaper than this one. ... show more
