This should have been a 5 star review because 15 of the 16 balls are of high quality. The three ball came with a very tiny chip over the number (see photo). It looks like it was probably a manufacturing defect. I wish I could confidently recommend these balls, as they are superior compared to your every day, run of the mill pool balls. I hope that someone will reach out to me to replace this defective ball, as I'm worried it may eventually lead to cracking or further chipping down the road. If this ball is replaced for me, I will change my review and rating to 5 stars. But for now, for the price of pool balls being substantially more than a standard set, I was expecting all balls to be perfect. I looked online for “what are the best pool table balls,” and it said Aramith was the best. I have to agree. These are some of the cheapest Aramith makes but they are great. They make right CRACK noise when you shoot for the break and the weight is perfect. They roll smooth and even and they are consistent. I can predict what my ball is going to do and it’s consistent and they are super shiny. Great balls to play with.😂🤣 ... show more

I had high expectations for these so called high quality aramith balls. After just 2 hours of fun play I discovered the 8 ball has a big crack in it. I liked the feel and quality of them but not confident in the longevity of these. I’m going to try a different brand.

    • Everything you want in a ball
I'm extremely pleased with these balls. The numbers are clear and in the correct font. They are super shiny and a nice slightly off-white color. I simultaneously purchased a set of cheaper balls and found the difference immediately. The numbers on these balls are nice and straight. The cheap sets were crooked. (Very noticeable on the stripes). The ONLY thing I can complain about is that the stripes have the numbers in the whites and not on the stripes. But, this is a minor complaint. The next tier up has the traditional arrangement. But, they also cost 50% more. Side note: Don't put these in the dishwasher to clean them no matter what you read online. I inherited a similar set with my pool table, and I estimate they had a few years of use, yellowing, and chalk marks. I tried to clean them this way and wound up with brownish, yellow balls with a weird film on them and bad friction. ... show more

I am by no means any good at pool. I had one as a teenager and loved it. Now that I’m retired and in my 70’s I bought a 7’ bar room table. A friend of mine recommended that I get a good set of balls so I did some research. I didn’t know that the balls made that much difference but boy oh boy do they. The roll is ten times better along with your English control. Anybody out there that’s still playing with the balls that came with the table needs to get rid of the old and buy new.
