    • Big 3 HorsePower Motor is Fantastic
I believe the 9k GPH rating on this because it makes a firehose of water to recirculate in my pool, which is pretty good sized at this property. Pump makes a bit of noise but is generally more quiet than the one it replaced.

We've owned our above-ground pool for years, but the old pump was starting to show its age. That's when we decided to upgrade to this 3 HP Pool Pump, and boy, are we glad we did! The installation process was a breeze, thanks to the clear instructions and included adapters. The pump itself is surprisingly quiet, especially compared to our old one. But what really impressed us was its performance with a flow rate of 8917 GPH, this pump is a beast! It quickly and efficiently cleans our pool, leaving the water sparkling and crystal clear. The integrated filter basket is a nice touch, catching debris and leaves with ease. We've also noticed a significant reduction in our energy bills, thanks to the pump's energy-efficient design and included timer.     • Great Value Pool Pump – Reliable and Efficient, but a Few Points to Consider
I’ve been using the Aquastrong 1.5 HP pool pump for a few weeks now, and it’s proven to be a great addition to my pool system. The pump body is built from commercial-grade reinforced thermoplastic, which is strong, durable, and resistant to corrosion. I feel confident in its long-term reliability, especially given how well it performs. It’s also energy-efficient and operates quietly, which is a big plus. I’ve used a few pumps in the past, and this one really stands out for how little noise it makes during operation. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures before my husband installed it - but it does look exactly like the product images. The pump comes with a 2" ID inlet and outlet, perfect for 1-1/2" Schedule 40 PVC pipe. The high flow ensures that the water circulates efficiently, which helps keep the pool clean and properly filtered. The large filter basket is also a great feature, as it collects debris, leaves, and other bits that can easily clog the system. It’s super convenient to check the filtration through the transparent lid, so I can see when it’s time to clean it without any guesswork. One of the standout features for me is the motor. The 1.5 HP motor provides an excellent flow rate with a MAX FLOW of 8100 GPH, which ensures quick water circulation throughout the pool. The low noise during operation is impressive, too. I barely notice the pump running, which is a huge improvement compared to louder models I’ve had in the past. Installation is relatively straightforward, though I do want to mention that the 2" adapters need to be mounted to the pump outlet and inlet before plumbing, so make sure to follow the instructions carefully to avoid any confusion during setup. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is simply that the pump is slightly bulkier than some other models I’ve used, so it takes up a bit more space. Additionally, the 6ft cord could be a little longer to accommodate my setup, but it’s not a major issue. Overall, this pump offers great value for the price and has made a noticeable difference in the performance of my pool. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, energy-efficient pump. This is an excellent replacement pool pump. We lost our pump in a hurricane and needed a replacement. This did the trick. This is well-made and seems durable. Easy to install and operate. Excellent price. We have no problems with this pump. I recommend this pump.

We have a large above ground pool and need at least a 2 hp pump for it, which is what we’ve had. This one at 3 hp moves some water. It easily installed just like our other pumps. The timer function is the real hero here. Having the timer built in really is top tier convenience when it comes to controlling how long the pump stays on.
