I say it’s unfortunate because leaving this UV light on for the last five weeks since I got it I was hopeful that it would help filter and kill alge. I’m still waiting for change. As you can see in my picture the UV light is on the right hand side where it looks more clear & blue - on the opposite side of my tank you can see it’s dealing with green algae. This product is doing nothing of what it promised. I have 125 gallon tank. I purchased a UV Filter for tanks between 75 and 200 gallons. There’s no reason they shouldn’t be working. That said, the company should reimburse me. How can you wait the time. To see if it actually works and then the window closes for a return. It’s not Professional. ... show more

First of all, this did the job! My 75 gal was CLEAR in just days after installing and running the UV light. The tubing was a bit difficult to attach and it didn't come with accurate setup instructions but I figured it out. (multiple styles shown on the user guide, none very descriptive) My biggest complaint is that when turned on its side, it does not provide the same aeration as sitting upright. It also can't be used further down in the tank and still bubble, so I have to keep it closer to the top of the waterline which makes it louder. Filter media is a simple sponge. it does the job for the price, but there are certainly things I wish were different. Can't adjust the actual flow or the direction of the flow without losing the aeration. ... show more

It blows great for my pond but maybe I dont know how to work it right. It I havnt really seen a difference with my water after about 8 hrs but my water was already pretty clear. I can only get on valve to work.

I was skeptical because before this, I tried everything. I’ve tried duckweed, chemicals and live plants. This UV Light filter did the job. I left both the filter and UV light on for 24 hours a day for 3 weeks straight with no issues. I can see my fish and ship again. I did clean the UV Light Filter sponge every 5-7 days to remove the gunk. As you can see in my pictures, it is the real deal. No issues from the product and my tank is healthy. Highly recommended.
