Just got back from taking this out for a couple test runs on the last camping trip and it didn’t disappoint. This was an upgrade for me from a previous brand’s somewhat more entry level kayak. And it truly feels like an upgrade that was well worth the money. Very stable and I liked that the floor is not inflated. As a single person kayaker who is extra-large, this makes sense because whenever I’d put too much weight in one spot on the inflatable flooring it would bounce up on the ends and feel unstable (and let water in). This doesn’t. I wouldn’t probably be able to stand up in it but I’m also clumsy and don’t feel like trying. It did help with getting in and out though. For my next trip I am going to pack more weight in the front for improved tracking. I’m about 3/4 of the weight limit on this thing so even with the skeg in (which is *way* easier to put on and take off than other brands) I felt like I needed a bit more counterbalance in the front. I’ll experiment with this more. Still tracks better as it is, than lower priced options, but was going back and forth a bit more than I like. If you are average size this will likely not be an issue for you. I worried about my butt being crammed in between the sides and I fit just fine; I generally wear a woman’s size 24 (us) if that helps others gauge the width of my butt (ha). The seat is great, so much better than an inflatable seat imo. I like that the kayak had something behind the seat to help with stability and so all that weight isn’t pulling on the straps with no support behind. I did buy a half-round exercise roller (18” long) to use as a foot rest and that worked much better for me than what was provided. So far everything met or exceeded my expectations. I did have to give myself a little tutorial on the valves because I wasn’t familiar with them and the air kept escaping. I just watched a video as I recall, searched for “Halkey Roberts valve”. I also bought a foot air pump and that worked well. Didn’t take too long to inflate. Just remember to account for air expanding in heat so you don’t over-inflate. Great purchase. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Very stable Kayak
I got this kayak as a slightly bigger upgrade to my Aquaglide Chinook 90. And it is that upgrade. I was a little nervous about stability because of the different kind of floor, but it's actually very stable. I just took it on a quick 3 mile paddle today, with a dock put in and take out, and it was great. ... show more

  • Inflatable kayak
I found it to be very stable but didn’t track very well and slow moving through the water. We returned it and are waiting for a refund.

  • Love this boat
I’ve been all over in this thing. It is great, never had issues other than drying after, but that’s any inflatable. Easy to get in and out of, super comfortable (also sit on side tube when out taking a break. I call it the u-haul for all the storage and weight capacity.

  • Worked great!
Worked out great. I felt very sturdy in it. I’m able to unhook the seat and use the back brace as a pillow and just lay down inside which is very nice. Sometimes it was a bit harder to carry because it is quite big so I’m thinking of getting a strap for it. But otherwise it works as intended and you have a lot of room to bring stuff with you. ... show more

  • Kayak was defective but great; will be out almost $2K before I get correct one
Love these kayaks ... but beware! I received a defective 110 kayak. Started return and ordered the 130. Amazon shipped me another 110 though I paid for 130. Amazon will do nothing. I spent 40 minutes on a call and all they could say is return defective and the mistake and order a 3rd one that's now over $100 more than what I paid for the 130. I'll be out almost $2,000 and waiting for new one and waiting for the refund on the first two. Had to cancel weekend plans. Oh yeah, Amazon offered me a $20 credit as a sorry. I told them to keep it! ... show more

  • Best inflatable at 13 feet I’ve ever seen or paddled
I’m an experienced kayaker with three different hard hulls, The lightest is at 31 pounds. I’ve been looking for a long inflatable for 10 years to be lighter and more portable. This fills the bill. Customer service from aqua glide is excellent as are the many accessories available. Note that there is no foot rest in this inflatable Deschutes. Another customer recommended an 18 inch, half exercise roll, which works very well in flat water. No gluing anything. ... show more

  • Lightweight, Tough, Easy to Pack
The best thing about it is the weight. It is about as light as you can get for packing a quality inflatable kayak and hiking to more secluded lakes. It also comes in an oversized, quality pack -so if you are tired and have a bad folding of it, it will still fit just fine. The pack has some straps to tighten the whole thing up as well. It is very stable, very maneuverable, has a shallow draught, so I've been able to get it into more places than my friend in his drop stitch Razor Lite. I will say his is considerably faster, but it is to be expected of a much more narrow, hard edged, and expensive inflatable. I can keep up with him, I just have to work harder. I could still go faster than the budget inflatable kayaks I've rowed with though. I launch and land on rocky shorelines almost every time, It is made of tough enough stuff that I don't worry about it. Part of that toughness may be due to the fact that the floor is not inflatable, so probably a bit more rugged. I have stood in it. It is pretty quick to inflate and get ready, and is quick to deflate and put away. Since it has no cloth on it, it dries out fairly quickly and doesn't get moldy. It can be a bit tough to paddle it against the wind, and you will get wet -but I haven't personally used any other inflatable kayaks, just rafts and what I've seen my friends in. It has a very low profile, so I think it is easier for splash to get you every now and then. Overall though, I'd say it's great and a whole lot of fun. I highly recommend. I am 6' tall and got a 250cm paddle for it. Paddle is not included. ... show more
