If I’m going to a special event I spray it on after I finish styling my hair It goes on like hairspray. Very lightweight. It’s not like glitter that gets everywhere because it falls out of your hair from general movement. This is more natural looking but it definitely adds shine.

The shine is good: not bad, not earth shattering. The scent isn't my favorite and is a bit strong. For the size and price, there are better options. Ordered Bed Head's shine spray at the same time as this and it was a much better value, works just as well, and smells so much better.
