  • It's a brand new computer for almost half the price
I was really surprised. I was expecting a good looking used computer, but this computer may well be brand new! It came in the original box with a new original charger and cable, it even had the Apple stickers! The battery count was 1, and absolutely every detail looks brand new. The screen looks so smooth and the quality of the sound is outstanding. It also arrived pretty fast (just a couple days) considering I ordered it from Mexico City, Amazon took charge of the taxes so the product arrived early and without any additional fee. I'm gladly surprised by the quality of this purchase for the price, I definitely will consider buying again from this seller (MASTERTRONICS) if I need another refurbished product in the future. ... show more

  • False Advertising and Poor Customer Service
I bought this product in December of 2021 and for about an and a half it was great. Then, in August of this year, it was completely unusable. It would not boot or charge. When I ordered this product, I thought that I was receiving a Mid-2019 model, as the listing clearly shows. However, when I took it to the Apple Store to have it checked out, they notified me that it was not a Mid-2019 model, but was instead a 2017 model. Now, I will take the blame for not double checking the model number, but heaven forbid I actually trust a seller to not take advantage of me. Maybe I should have read more of the negative reviews, because I am not the first person for this to happen to. When I reported this to the seller, their response was basically, “Well, the 2017 model was discontinued in 2019, so that’s why it is listed that way.” I’m sorry, but that’s not how Apple works. A 2017 model is a 2017 model, no matter when you buy. As you can see in the screenshots, Apple produced four different 2019 models and not a single one of them match the model number in this listing. Be warned: you are actually ordering a 2017 MacBook Pro and not a MID-2019 MacBook Pro. ... show more

  • Dirt marks all over it, but item was in good working condition.
It came in a good working conditions with 53 count cycles, not bad. The item was not clean, dirt and finger markings all over the item, with some sticky stuffs too. The charger seemed to have some bite marks on it ,I don't know where from. Screen was scratch free,it worked perfectly fine, just the dirt and few scratches which can be cleaned easily. ... show more

  • 2019 Apple MacBook
At first I was hesitant to buy a refurbished Apple lap top. So far so good. Condition of lap top was excellent. Keyboard is not my favorite, but all keys work. That’s what matter to me. Also it only has two ports to charge computer and ect, but bought a multi port adapter. For the money I paid, it’s worth it too me compared to a new lap top price. ... show more

  • Yes, for refurbished!
My last MacBook Pro was definitely on the older side. Like, it still has the CD/DVD port old. Yet it lasted such a long time I was so sad to see it go. I immediately went to search for a replacement for my hard working baby and immediately fell over. I specifically wanted this MacBook Pro as it was new enough for me to assume it wouldn’t give me any pressing issues but not the newest version with that weird Touch Bar. I have a couple friends who barely a year in the Touch Bar would start to fail and with the high price point I didn’t think was worth it. BUT they don’t sell this one through Apple anymore so off I went to scavenge amazon to see if this model still exists. Luckily for me I found what I was looking for!!! I’ve never bought a refurbished laptop before yet I took the risk and bought it anyways. It came in double boxed and everything looked brand new! A couple months later and I can confidently say that I’m so happy with this purchase and it definitely saved me $$$ from buying it through Apple! ... show more

  • THIS IS A 2017 LAPTOP, *NOT* “Mid-2019!!!!
First, it was beautiful and in perfect condition. Miraculously, because it arrived loose in a box with NO padding or packing material. It powered up splendidly. I updated it to OS Ventura from OS Sierra. Then it couldn’t find my PC so that I could migrate data. It performed two partial migrations while using Sierra, but got stuck for two days each time. So after wasting a lot of time with an AI bot (who claimed to be human, but I don’t think so) at Windows support, I called Apple. Got an appointment with the Genius Bar. The guy examined the computer and asked where I bought it. I said Amazon. He said that they could do the migration for me, although usually they only do it if you buy from them. However, since I had tried literally everything on my own, he said he would help me. But he asked a few more questions, and examined the laptop. He said updating it to Ventura was probably the problem, because it was a 2017 and the technology had changed a lot since then. I said, “Uh, it’s supposed to be a “mid-2019.” He said, “Nope. 2017. It was PURCHASED in mid-2019. But it was built in 2017.” He asked how much I paid for it, and I showed him. He sighed. Said, “It’s a good price for a used 2017.” Returned due to deception on part of seller and inability to migrate data. Tbh, if the Migration Assistant had worked, I would be perfectly happy and still clueless. But it didn’t, and now I’m looking for a 2020 laptop that is verifiably 2020. Three stars for excellent condition. ... show more

  • What You See...Is What You Get!
As you can see from my photo, i took it while in the process of writing this review. I don't make a habit of writing them, but for the price and the value that I received I felt compelled to write one. 1. I was impressed when I took the laptop out the box, everything about it looked new I would not have been able to tell it was renewed/refurbished if I didn't know beforehand. 2. The keyboard is in tip top shape, and the speed on the laptop seems okay so far. I've only had it for a few days but so far I am happy with the purchase. I previously had an Air which i purchased brand new, however the processor was struggling to edit videos in FCP so I looked at this used MacBook option to fill the gap until I buy a new one. I will update review based on performance with video editing. ... show more
