This refurbished computer arrived within the promised 2 days, looked unscratched and undented as promised, and functioned well. I partitioned the drive into a dual boot, IOS and Windows---something not possible with the new M1 chip. Two concerns: the light-weight non-OEM charger lasted 8 hours and the fan starts up almost immediately and stays on. Possible over-heating? I have now had the computer for five days and have just upgraded my review from 3 to 5 stars. My reason: the supplier sent a credit covering purchase of a replacement charger and there is no longer a potential overheating problem. Probably caused by migration of Dropbox files and folders, something typical to a new computer. ... show more

    • Refurb, maybe...... Excellent Quality....... not really.
Well, it did arrive when they said it would. Took it out of the box, and it did have some life in the battery. OK, so far so good. Took the after-market charger out of the plastic wrap, and plugged it into the wall outlet. Plugged the other end into the Macbook Air...... hmmmm, the Macbook isnt charging. Tried another outlet, still not charging. OK, so now I tried the other Thunderbolt port, and it worked. There was also some case damage around the thunderbolt ports, So I wouldnt call it "excellent condition". And when you spend this kinda $$$, the ports better be working. The item was as stated. No blemishes to speak of. Charger was fine. Computer turned on and I was able to transfer all of my information no problem. The problem lies in the packaging. As Maxwell Smart used to say "I missed by thaaaaat much" (holding two finger separated by a mm). The foam ends in the box are supposed to go AROUND the computer, protecting it from sliding around and getting banged up in transport. As you can see in the picture above the computer easily sits between the two foam ends and the computer slides around easily. Besides the packaging, computer and seller are a win. ... show more

not so pleased, it does not hold the battery long enough , ended up using my old laptop instead and later bought a new apple laptop, because, just not pleased with the features and the speed

I've been looking to replace my first MacBook Air for a while but I didn't want to pay $1.5K for the latest iteration with the amount of storage I needed. I got this via Woot so it was refurbished/renewed. It runs fast and despite minor cosmetic dings and scratches that came from a previous owner or something, it's fine. I have a case/cover coming for it to prevent more of those because I'm tough on my laptops. Battery life is decent. Does lower notably over the course of a few days even if it hasn't been used at all in that time. ... show more

    • overheating after little to no use
after turning on the mac, it instantly starts to heat up. the fans did not work, the mac was hot to the touch and started lagging.
