  • Super way to quick warm water
Really easy to install (great instructions) and it works exactly as described. As it passes some of the "hot" water back through the cold water as it heats up the actual "Hot" side, the cold faucet provides enough warm water for a quick hand washing. As described, I installed it under the sink and in 3-4 seconds after turning on the hot water, it is really hot water. Awesome!!!!! ... show more

  • This device is amazing - worth every penny (and your time).
I considered some of the less costly offerings but in the end I realized I was going to put a half-day's labor into its installation, took a deep breath (I'm very thrifty) and elected to buy a product that would respect my time. I'm not disappointed. The APCOM recirculation pump has brass fitting and what appears to be a steel pump body (I didn't check it pretty heavy to be aluminum). The product includes all the hardware needed for an installation in North America. While I'm sure the chrome on the fittings make them more durable, I was a little frustrated the plating was thick enough to require an adjustable wrench (which it does say in the instructions) instead of my Snap-ons. I have none of these knuckle-busting, nut-rounding potential projectiles in my tool box but fortunately my ol' lady isn't so curmudgeonly and was able to come to my rescue with a nice collection she hides from me somewhere in my own garage. The pump itself is pretty quiet, but vibrates the floor of my cabinet that I can hear it in the room next door where I keep my office. I did not elect to screw the pump body to the floor of the cabinet, but there are holes in the mount to do just that. It sits just fine without - but the peculiarities of my home may force me to buy four screws and rubber pads. I'm not sure why they didn't install (what I assume are check valves - on is position marked) instead of depending on your reading the instructions. If you're like me and have the battle cry "I don't read instructions, I write them!" It helps to know I'm an engineer. Do yourself a favor and match the brass fittings with the red paint on them. Finally, this comes with a single page, well written instruction sheet but in ENGLISH ONLY (not a criticism). I suppose if you're a Spanish speaker you could get one of your kids to read it to you; it's very straight-forward. I don't know how to recommend this product more. Update after a few days... I sacrificed a silicon trivet to place under the pump (no screws). Perfection! The cabinet no longer resonates and it absolutely cannot be heard. I think I paid $9 for a set of four here on Amazon (Premium Silicone Trivet Mats: 4 Multi-Purpose Pot Holder, Oven Mitts Hot Pads– Versatile, Heat Resistant, Non-Slip Jar Opener, Gripper Pad, Garlic Peeler, Drying Mat, Coaster - Heavy-Duty (Black)) ... show more

  • Installation very easy
I took the advice from other customer reviews and mounted it on foam feet, would be nice if they included this in the package. Runs perfectly quiet after it settles in and all air is out of the system. Does exactly as as advertised, I have hot water pretty much right away. It does however fill the cold line with warm water also, not a big deal but probably no way to avoid this. Over all very satisfied and glad I bought it! ... show more

  • This pump actually works!
I have a kitchen sink that is quite far from the tank-top water heater located in the garage. It takes up to 2 minutes to get the hot water. Recently I learned about recirculation pump idea. After doing some research and given that I have a power outlet underneath the kitchen sink, I purchased APCOM UT1. The unit is quite heavy, which I'd personally interpret as being well-made. The installation takes like an hour but not difficult. I just need to make sure all connections are carefully tightened to avoid water leak. I also used a smart power socket so I can control the on-time from my phone instead of using the built-in timer. This unit works beautifully. For example, I set my smart socket to turn on between 7am to 9am in the morning. When we get to the kitchen in the morning after 7am, the hot water is available almost instantly (in contrast to 2 minutes wait as before). I'm also very satisfied with the very low noise level when it runs (I have pretty sensitive ears to noises). The built-in timer is also super quiet (even though I don't use the timer, it keeps running when the power is on so the noise level matters). The only 4-star (instead of 5-star) I gave is the price. $350+ feels a bit pricier than I hoped. I went for it for the brand. I definitively don't regret paying for it. ... show more

  • Beware, won’t honor warranty
After six months, the pump failed and leaked badly. Luckily, I caught the leak before substantial damage was done. Not only did it leak, but the unit emitted fine silty particles that discolored some porcelain plumbing fixtures. The manufacturer refused to honor the warranty, saying I had to deal with Amazon. Of course, the item had been bought more than 30 days before, so it was not Amazon‘s problem. Now, the manufacturer refuses to communicate with me, although I sent in photographs as they requested showing the leak. ... show more

  • Fabulous System. Great Buy
First of all, you need to realize that I rarely write reviews, however, I found that this under sink hot water pump system is certainly worthy of my high praise. First of all, it was incredibly easy to install, especially with the use of the YouTube video as put together by the manufacturer. Next, it works flawlessly. We found that we can have it run for as little as five minutes and the unit brought up hot water that use to have us run the water in the shower for at least five minutes. I would, however, recommend that you only use the system for five minute periods since the cold water can get warmed up if it runs for much longer, at least that was our experience. We have bypassed using the timer and have used our Alexa app. We created a routine where always say is "Alexa, start the hot water pump for five minutes." That greatly settles the issue of having warm water for more than just a few seconds in the cold water line. Of course, I realize that this may vary by anybody’s individual home. Overall, it’s a five star system, and it saved us quite a bit of money on wasting water down the drain while waiting for the hot water in our shower. Kudos to APCOM. ... show more
