It was easy to understand and follow the directions. I put it together with my brother in about 6 hours. I put the roof slats in myself the next day, which took another 4 hours. Looks great, very sturdy and seems to be made out of high-quality material. Not cheap, thin metal.

I was skeptical about the plastic panels vs metal. However, This has been through several 70 mph plus wind blasts here in the Midwest and I have had no damage. My hot tub is under protection and it looks great from the road and up close. Quality is great when held up against some of the cheaper cloth covered units. This will last for years and if the panels fail it will be easy to fabricate replacements out of most any material. Very happy with this. ... show more

We finally got this thing up. For reference, we are 2 women, in our 40s and 50, no special skills, decent tools on hand. That means if we can do it anyone can assemble too. The instructions were spot on for the most part, we took our time. Altogether, we spent a full Sunday (about 10-11 hours) and half a day assembling it. Overall, it seems like a nice product that hopefully will last a while. As most reviews state, it is a good idea to not screw everything super tight. However, I think it's just as important to know when to tighten fully because you won't be able to get to that certain spot later. Other issues noted, mainly quality control related. One roof edge (labeled as Ds) did not have a screw slot welded into it. This means that when it came time to secure the roof edging at one corner point, it was just an open space with nothing to catch on to and thus would not secure the roof panel. We fixed this by using a 3/16 toggle bolt that went inside the open space snugly and then screwed into that. That held it together. The panels remind me of cardboard and one of them had a deep dent in it but it wasn't fully broken, which was good. I think it is also important to note that the title of this product includes the word 'permanent' in it however the first thing you see when opening the instructions is that it is not a permanent structure and is a 'temporary, portable shelter'. With all the parts this thing takes, I can't imagine someone waking up and saying let's take down the gazebo and bring it to the beach today. It is definitely not that kind of gazebo so I guess it's just a legalese way of saying we aren't responsible for your mishaps. Lastly, we live in a high wind area and opted to use concrete planets to anchor it. Seems to be working well and extremely heavy. Overall, it's a good product for the price and we are looking forward to enjoying it. ... show more

This is a beautiful gazebo. It is not a 100% hardtop, the pieces that slide in are an odd flimsy plastic material. With that said, it illuminates the light beautifully and its not super heavy so safe to put on my deck. It was relatively easy to set up with directions provided as well as the video they have online. It really is beautiful, shipping was fast and everything came in, not broken a few bends here and there but nothing we couldnt straighten out. This is worth the money, wish the top was a more sturdy material, dont know who it will hold up with hail, but would purchase again. ... show more

    • Customer Service is TERRIBLE, Parts don't fit and leaks
So it took 3 ppl about 4 hours to put it together. Mostly easy once you get 3 of the pillars connected but the roof has to be done in sections ELSE parts will FALL OFF (last step of the roof is connecting the brackets to hold it in place. So when it came to connecting to screens, the bolts for the brackets are not long enough. They are BARELY long enough to seat without a bracket.... Tried to contact customer service 3x and only on the last did they answer and then it was just what is your order number. Been 2 days and no response to my reply. additionally this is a HOT BOX. With translucent roof it does little to minimize intense sun to the point you might as well not be covered. Roof does leak at the seams (poor design) and the screen was ripped out of the box. Instructions are fairly clear and came MOSTLY undamaged but i got to say customer service like this is amazing. I've never had to send 4 emails just to get help on a product installation... oh and the brackets. better be super careful with the screen/curtain as it falls out without them.... Speaking of the curtains/screen. the clips are so cheap and destined to fail fast. Problem is you have to take out all of the proceeding hooks to replace a damaged one and you only get 2 EXTRA... yeah for 700 I expected better. ... show more

The gazebo is everything we expected. It looks amazing and firm. Provides very much needed shade and overall appeal to our backyard. We've had some great compliments on it already from neighbors and friends. It's the perfect size for our 12x12 patio slab. I would strongly suggest to follow instructions carefully and be patient. It is quite a long process to assemble but it's well worth it at the end. I only wish we had ordered the 12x12 instead of the 12x10 but overall still satisfied. ... show more

I'll post a picture later. We followed the manual, and outside of a few (read it twice) no problems. Everything matched up perfectly. Had to swap out two screws that stripped. other than that no problems. Doesn't leak, as someone complained, other than rain blowing in from the sides. Not sure how that one guy messed up his roof. I found the metal to be thicker than some others in the big box stores, one small ding (not worth a picture). If you live where the sun shines bright and winter is cold, your paint will fade over time. Repainting in a few years is a given or you could wax it monthly. I'm EXTREMLY HAPPY WITH THE PRICE, THE PRODUCT AND THE LOOK. ... show more
