After struggling to clean hair from our shower drain, I researched and found this drain filter. I am not able to remove the permanent shower drain cover and so this is an ideal solution for prohibi g hair from entering the drain.. I put the third picture in to show that it is advantageous to order the drain cover slightly larger than your drain.. Initially, I ordered the 4 1/2 inch but with any slight movement, it reveals the drain grate. The 6 inch is perfect.. This product is made well, doesn’t impede the water flow at all , and there are numerous colors to match or complement your decor. The silicone edge makes it comfortable to stand on or around and it cleans easily. We remove it when our shower is not in use. ... show more

Flat square style fit the shower drain correctly, helps catch hair before it goes in drain. Easily cleaned after using and I can store it in the drawer until I need to use it again. Only negative is it does move out of place so you have to keep an eye on it.

I ordered this because my wife has long hair, and well, if you’re here, you know how that goes. I had used the long chain flowers in the past. Those work very well, but the clean up part is really not fun (like a dead animal!) This drain cover is MUCH better to clean. Just wipe with a tissue every other day, and you’re done. Here’s why I say it’s “amazingly effective”, though. I have short hair, slightly longer than a military cut. I would never have gotten one of these for my hair, as I wouldn’t expect anything to catch my short, expended hair. However, my wife recently went on a trip with her sister, and I was home alone. Imagine my surprise when, after 4 days, this drain cover had a noticeable amount of captured hair on it. Wow! Nothing gets by it, yet it NEVER has water/soap build up. It catches the hair, and everything else smoothly flows down. It requires a deep cleaning about every 4 months, but is as good as new afterwards. This is an attractive, yet highly effective, hair catcher. Sizing Note: The 4” version is designed to COVER a 4” drain grate. This wasn’t clear in the write up, so I first ordered and returned the 6” version. Once I received the 4” version, everything was great! ... show more

I can't tell you how many different designs I've bought trying to find something that will keep my curly, long hair from ending up in my bathroom drain. Every design comes up short - except this one. Ignore the few bad reviews unless you have a very uneven surface in your shower floor. I have small tiles so plenty of grout lines, and this still works like a charm. The bottom edge is a flexible type plastic that will seal to the floor and keep hair from getting underneath. The top part will not let hair through, but water gets through just fine. I bought the square design. Being skeptical, I put my previously OK round screen (different style) underneath this (it fits) but nothing ever gets that far. This big square one gets everything. I thought I would never find a screen that actually works, but this is the one. Buy it! ... show more

This may work for some, but if your drain is in the center of your shower (where one may stand), then the slightest contact with the drain filter will move it, causing it to not perform its function. It sits above the drain a bit too high, making it very difficult not to come into contact with it. The quality of the materials is good, but the design simply doesn't work for me. It may work for you if your drain is not where you stand, but rather off to the side where someone wouldn't make contact with it. ... show more

    • Excellent Hair Catcher for Square Shower Floor Drain

We have gone through several types of hair catchers for our shower but the Aojuxix model is by far the best. Our square drain is slightly raised relative to the 1" square tiles used for our shower floor. However, this hair catcher is slightly larger than our drain and its top sits slightly up from its perimeter so it sits on the tile floor perfectly creating a great seal. The perimeter of the metal strainer uses a silicone type material that has some flex to it which, along with its weight (it is heavier than typical all-silicone hair catchers), allows for the great seal with our tile floor - this means it also does not move around while showering. Another smart design aspect is the drain holes along the perimeter which allow water to drain along its perimeter in addition to the top mesh. My hair is a bit thinner than my wife's hair, and none of the other hair catchers we have used really caught my hair. I did not realize how much hair I was losing with each shower until we started using the Aojuxix hair catcher. The "cherry on top" is that the hair can easily be removed from the hair catcher by just taking a piece of toilet paper and wiping it off !! We have been using this now for over 3 weeks and so far, are thrilled with the purchase. If the silicon-like material on its perimeter still does its job after 6 mo, I plan on purchasing 1-2 more for the future (in case they stop selling this model).
