  • Tiny but Mighty 🔥🔥🔥
Color: AF-381
The media could not be loaded. We had fun playing with this! Save your dryer lint, it blazes up right away with this ferro rod! (Also can repurpose candles/wax melts—if you add a few crumbles of wax your lint will burn for a few minutes rather than just 30 seconds.) Optimally you’d have all the right tinder & kindling you need, but no harm in making it easier to start a fire! I put a bag of dryer lint & wax pieces along with this ferro rod in our emergency preparedness supplies. The whistle works well. The compass points north. I went ahead and took the thinner string off and tied it with the para-cord it came with, as it’s sturdy and bright. I might tie a longer piece around the 2nd one so it can be worn around the neck when hiking. I plan on buying another 2 pack. Great for the camper, cars, etc…and just fun to play with! (PS, aerosol mosquito spray also blazed right up, but I decided not to share the video.😉) ... show more

  • Okay for the price
Color: AF-381
These are okay for the price. I bought them to put them in my bug out/get home bags. They feel a bit flimsy but I tested them out and was able to start a fire. I will probably get sturdier ones and keep these as a backup, but they do work!

  • Works perfect
Color: AF-381
Whistle, compass and ferro rod. Small pocket sized but throws great sparks and easy to light a fire.

  • Works great
Color: AF-381
Works great for my hiking pack. Very small, compact but love the orange color, makes it easy to find. Works great. I wanted a back up to have if my lighter get wet. If this gets wet, wipe it off and after a few strokes it will spark right back up! If you do not however, know how to start a primitive fire, it may pose difficult for you but otherwise, works like a champ! ... show more

  • To small,
Color: AF-381
Feels like a kids toy, don't get that much spark per strike because it's so small. Good for fun, but not for if my life depends on it.

  • Pretty good fire starters!
Color: AF-381plus
I wanted something that could be a multipurpose tool, so the compass was a nice addition to the fire starter. I'm keeping these for emergency purposes but I made sure it worked by lighting a fire in by fireplace with this. It wasn't hard at all, actually pretty easy. It feels good knowing I have a back up fire source if I need it. ... show more
