My teenage son wanted a tv stand for under his tv. We found this, ordered it and he was able to put it together on his own. It did require a drill to put the screws in but he had the unit assembled in a few hours. This unit came with a fireplace insert. The fireplace insert shipped separately but arrived at the same time. The box with the main stand was EXTREMELY HEAVY AND LONG!! As soon as i placed the order, i got a strange email from a seller with Chinese writing stating that the insert would ship separately and that it was a completely normal phenomenon. I thought it was strange that I had to pay an additional fee for the shipping, but it was worth it. The insert was also easy for my son to install. The barn doors do slide closed over the fireplace insert. Common sense might tell you not to run the fireplace with the blower motor going. It may say it in the directions too, but either way you can slide the barn doors all the way to the middle of the unit and they magnetize together, but do leave a small gap when closed into the center of the unit.     • It looks pretty from the front, but it is a nightmare.

Putting it together is a nightmare, mind you I worked for a company where my sole job was to put furniture together for customers and for the show room. Never once have I had to deal with holes not aligning and incomplete instructions to this level. The back panels do NOT fit even kind of. There is damage everywhere from manufacturing, (not even from shipping, that’s nuts) as well as it really is cheap. I went into this knowing not to expect much, but it is impressive how cheaply made it is. I’ll be looking to see if it’s worth doing the repairs needed and cutting of the rear panels tomorrow, but there’s a high chance I return it if it’s not a quick issue to resolve. If you don’t know your furniture and can’t improve the quality or repair damage yourself, this is not the piece for you. If you just like the style and are fine with the hassle, go for it. It is a very nice looking piece (excluding damage) and I do like how the sliding doors are done (excluding the fact that the magnets inside fell out, which was fine anyways I wanted to reverse the polarity from the start, and the fact that the nuts in the back to hold the rollers in place ding up the front unless you over tighten the hell out of them) they are obviously cheaply made of course, but I quit like the tabs on the bottom to help hold them onto the guide better than most furniture is done. I did however have to cut the tabs to make them guides and not weight bearing making the rollers the guides instead. TL;DR: if you like the style and are handy or have experience with furniture go for it, not the worst piece of furniture I could’ve gone with. I love the looks of this stand. It was very easy to assemble and I have received complaints from family how they love the look and asked where I got it. If you love the country feeling, this is a most have. I had my eye on this since I moved and trying to decorate my new home.

The stand was not very difficult to put together but the directions were not the best. It did take a while to finish. The problem was the back of the stand. There were either no holes drilled or they were drilled in the wrong places. Even though there were only 4 parts to the back, having to drill it all yourself and make sure it was done properly took a long time. Can't say we did the best job on the back, but no one will see it. It was just very frustrating! There were also a few areas where the color seemed to be rubbed off on the sides of the stands that can be seen. Used brown marker on those spots so they're not so visible. ... show more
