The media could not be loaded. Used this unit to replace our old pond pump which was on the fritz. It is more than powerful enough to move the water through a 6 foot hose (with a nearly 2 foot rise) and still provide a good output. It is very quiet as well, so all you hear is the relaxing sound of the water flowing and not the pump noise. ... show more

I was pretty excited to get thisbset uo, set up was very simple and it ran (okayish) for about 1 day with the solar panel in direct sun. By about noon the next day i realized the product no longer was working. I unplugged and plugged everything back in and no results. Something got fried in just 1 day. This was a clean, new pond that was cycling, so the issue wasnt a clogged filter or anything of the sort. The panel was in direct sunlight (no shade at all) and i had the battery attachment as well. ... show more

All I can say is wow. I never dreamed that such a small pump could move so much water. The pump is relatively quiet and, due to its small size, can fit about anywhere. Flow control is accomplished by a knob on the side of the pump. It works fairly well and did produce a noticeable decrease in flow when used. Also included are several adaptors to allow you to hook the pump to different sizes of hose. The pump should work well in your aquarium or in a fountain. We are using the submersible pump in our small terrarium that has a built-in water feature. The pump is probably more powerful than we need for the terrarium but we have been able to adjust the intake to make it work. The adjustable water intake make this pump very versatile. It is a little louder than I would like however after some tinkering I have been able to muffle the sound and are happy with the outcome. The media could not be loaded. I used this product for a outdoor pond, I was excited to recieve because I figured this would save me money and I can still enjoy the outdoor pond allowing the sun to power the filter. Instantly I was disappointed, while it does have a good power, it has to be directly in the sun view- meaning- no shaded area nobody walking in front of it, cloudy day it won't work, it can be bright outside but if the device isn't in the path of the sun it won't work. Because the sun shifts every few hours your device will not get light and you would find it not working until you change the solar device to the direction of the sun. Video to show what I mean. Save your money and time and get plug in, only buy if your pond in directly infront of sun and don't expect it to work at night. Even the battery backup has bad reviews ... show more
