  • Great product, small and powerful
Replaced my MacBook power supply, this is smaller and can charge two other devices at same time. It feels durable, use it on planes and airports all the time

  • Works great with the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16IRX8
Hardware used in testing: Power adapter: Anker Prime 100W USB C Charger A2343 Cable: Anker USB C Cable 100W 10ft A8758011 Wattmeter: YOJOCK USB C Tester J7-c Laptop: Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16IRX8 82WK0048US BIOS Revision: KWCN42WWW, 9/15/2023 (latest version as of writing) My findings: Charging the laptop at 45% results in the following readout from the USB wattmeter: 18.63 volts, 4.770 amps, and 88.87 watts. Windows also reports the laptop as charging which is good. In the past, I have found that Macbook chargers will charge the laptop slowly even though Windows does not properly detect that it is charging. Plugging in my phone (Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra) to the GaN charger while my laptop was plugged in, I saw the power draw drop to 61.5 watts on the laptop while the phone charged at 20.4 watts. The phone reported that it was 'Super Fast Charging,' but it was already at 70% during testing so it seems like it was not charging at full speed due to already being at a high charge. The overall process was very seamless and I am very happy with the results. I did not notice any dropping of the charging connection on the laptop when I plugged in my phone. The Anker charger seems to get quite hot in my few minutes of testing. So hot that it hurts to touch for more than a couple of seconds near the base. This testing was all performed with 'Rapid Charge' enabled on the Lenovo Legion. UPDATE: I ran some more testing, and it seems that when the laptop is under a significant enough load in dGPU mode, the USB-C charging drops out altogether. Testing with Furmark, I found that the laptop stopped receiving power after about 15 seconds or so. It stops charging completely while under load. I do not believe this is a fault of the Anker power adapter, it is just how the laptop works. This was tested with Normal charging mode while on Auto power mode. It also happens when on Quiet power mode. I also tried plugging the laptop straight into the power brick without the wattmeter, and it exhibited exactly the same behavior. I could not get this behavior to replicate on iGPU mode no matter what I threw at the system. So it seems that with this charger, if your power draw exceeds about 90-ish watts, charging drops completely until the load is reduced. This is not a big deal for me, as I will just use the 300W Lenovo charger when I'm gaming or using heavy 3D applications. Conclusion: The laptop seems to work excellently with the Anker Prime 100W GaN charger. I only have the one laptop to test it and I know that Lenovo Legions are very very picky when it comes to USB charging, but I can say for sure that this cable and this charger work great with the 82WK0048US as long as you only use it for tasks like web browsing, movies, or light games. ... show more

  • Another excellent Anker product
I've used Anker chargers for years, and have always appreciated (1) their speed, (2) their versatility and (3) their reliability. This charger is no exception. I bought an iPhone 15 Pro with the USB-C connection, so I needed a new charger for the phone. Apple no longer provides chargers for the iPhones, so I started looking for a good, fast charger. I did my research and once again concluded that the best solution is Anker, this particular Anker charger. I like it because (1) it's fast and (2) it uses the new GaN technology to make it more compact. It also has the folding plug, convenient for travel purposes. For many years, people have had the habit of plugging their cell phones in at night, and letting them charge all night long. And although there are supposed to be protections against overcharging on the iPhones, it's now a generally accepted fact that you shouldn't continue to charge them after they've hit 100%. There is even an new option for the phone to stop being charged at 80%, to protect against overcharging. My solution is to plug in my iPhone when I first get up, and then let it charge while I'm getting ready for the day. Otherwise I don't charge the phone again until the following morning. With this rapid charger, I generally have close to 100% charge by the time I am ready for the day, and it doesn't get overcharged. I also like that it charges multiple devices and has one of the old USB-A ports for older devices. Also, it seems that lots of people want to buy only Apple products, including their chargers. But in my opinion, there is no need for always 100% Apple everywhere. You're fine with third-party products such as those produced by Anker. In conclusion, if you want a fast, mult-port charger, get this one. You won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • Very compact for the power capability
I have a similar charger with 65W max output. This unit is larger, as expected, but it fits in the same case as the 65W device (along with a 20000 mAh power bank). Both chargers have 2 USB-C ports and one USB-A. The Anker charger gives more capacity in a package that is as still small enough to pack. I really like GaN chargers due to their high output in a small package with little heat generation. This Anker charger has worked as well as I expected. I use this device as a substitute while traveling for the OEM charger that comes with my laptop. It is much smaller volume and weight, and it does not require a separate AC cable. The incorporated, foldable AC plug prongs have worked wherever I have needed. It fits well in the AC sockets on an airplane, although some of these sockets are so loose from repeated use, the prongs don't stay engaged. For these eventualities, I have a 6 inch cord where I can bend the cord prongs to make them fit more snuggly. (I don't think it is a good idea to bend the charger prongs for this purpose.) The folding prongs on the charger are great for packing this device is the smallest volume without obstructive protrusions. It fits in the case I have for it (with the power bank), and it fits loose in other carrying means for use by itself. Very small, very compact, very powerful. ... show more

  • Pricey, but worth it
I was looking for something portable that I can charge all of my devices from, and this is it. I live a fairly mobile life in which I use a macbook air, ipad pro, and iphone for my work. Thanks to the fast charging this provides, I can either charge all of those at once at a slower rate, or quickly top off one or two of the devices. This is now the only charging block I need, and it's super compact. ... show more
