I purchased two of these charge stands in April 2022. About a week ago (mid October 2023) one of my models, had an issue with the charge block, not charging my phone off the stand. I reached out to customer service via my receipt on Amazon because the issue arose during the 2yr warranty, and was immediately contacted by AnkerDirect. After almost a week of back-and-forth correspondence they assured me my replacement would arrive within 3 to 7 days, depending on weather related delays. I love the idea behind this charger: (1) it simultaneously works for your iphone and your airpods pro case; (2) the MagSafe pad doubles as a removable battery. I really like the feel of the battery behind my iphone 13 pro max. If I’m using my iphone heavily, I sometimes leave the battery there to have a better, more comfortable grip on it. Having said that, I encountered a few issues with this system: (1) When new, the battery only increases the charge of my iphone 13 pro max by about 55% (pretty consistently between 54 and 56%, when not using the iphone simultaneously, of course). Given the claim of “get up to 17 hours of extended use” and the fact that this battery has a higher reported capacity than the iphone 13 pro max, I expected more. The Anker battery delivers about 2450 mAh, so close to only 50% efficiency. (2) I purchased the Anker 633 MagGo in February 2022. By August 2022, the battery increased the charge of my iphone by only 20 to 25%. That is huge degradation for just six months of use, 3-4 times a week (I left the charging system at my office and took the battery with me back and forth, but not on a daily basis). Anker customer service was great and replaced the whole charging station (which I thought was overkill since only the battery was substandard, but Anker said they don’t have batteries to ship independently—that’s too bad). (3) The new battery has the same initial charge as the original one, so the first experience does not seem to be a fluke. Now I just hope that the battery will not degrade as badly in the next few months. (4) Of course, don’t expect the same charging speed as with a cable, even when you are using the charging station itself, but that’s usual for wireless chargers. (5) If the battery would have a bit more actual capacity AND it wouldn’t degrade, I would love to buy at least one more battery to rotate in and out of the charging station, always keeping a full battery with me and an empty one charging on the station. Unfortunately Anker does not sell this model of batteries independently from the charging station. I think $120 is too much to pay for this charging station. I only paid $83.99, and even at this lower price I wouldn’t purchase it again, given the information I now have. Your mileage may vary! ... show more

UPDATE 16 MARCH 2023: The stand just broke this evening. I went to remove my phone from the charger and the battery holder broke off of the stand at the neck of the stand (photo attached). It seems this is a known issue with the stand. I contacted Anker customer support via the phone number on their website. Anker will be emailing me a pre-paid USPS shipping label to return the entire unit (stand, battery, cable, and charger) and then I will receive a replacement unit in 7-10 business days. I will provide another update once I receive the replacement. Overall this has been a great charger and stand, but for it to fail in a little over a year and cost over $120 is major issue. Also, the base of the charging pad isn't great for AirPod charging, I'm not sure if it is an issue with the case I am using or the charging pad footprint is too small but I am constantly having to adjust how the AirPod case is sitting on the base to stop it from blinking at me that there is a charging error. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I love all of my Anker brand purchases and this charging stand might be the best item I've bought from them yet. The strength of the magnet solidly snaps and holds my phone to the stand, even using a compatible phone case. I work from home and this charging stand allows me to easily interact with my phone, since it sits up at a nice adjustable angle off the desk, and keep it (and my AirPod Pros) charged throughout the day. Between this charging stand and my flat wireless charger on my nightstand I think I've physically only plugged my phone in a handful of times. I still haven't bothered with a wireless car charger, some REALLY bad potholes out here that I don't think even this strong of a magnet could handle.     • Nice but lacking if you want to charge airpods

The good: When you attach the phone it glows at the base to let you know it's charging. Charges the airpods and phone at same time. Magsafe Love the powered blue The Bad: Does not light up bottom to indicate the airpods are charing. And the phone part visually covers the airpods light so you have to look down there to see if charging. Airpod charing is not great. The base is a lot bigger than the charging area, so just pacing down the airpods might not charge them. I have a cute thick airpod case and I have to take it off for charging on this base but not on other wireless chargers. ... show more
