  • Really Good Charger
Color: Black
I really love this charger, it charges really fast my phone and wifes at the same time when on the road. Its the perfect size, it doesn't take to much space of the dashboard. It just works really well

  • So good I bought 2
I got one of these for myself so I could charge more than one device in our SUV. The usb slots have no slop in them and it charges quickly. I bought a 2nd for our other car before a roadtrip. Both are holding up great!

  • Nice Charger Not Compatible with Some Late Model Mazda Vehicles
Color: Black
This is an excellent charger from a company with an excellent customer service reputation. Why the missing star? Unfortunately, due to the shape of its "nose", this item does not provide a reliable connection in either of the two accessory sockets in my 2017 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring, or in the single socket in my 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata Grand Touring. Small movements of the charger or the attached cable, even when fully seated in the accessory socket, can and do interrupt charging. A comment in the Questions and Answers section describes a similar problem in a Mazda CX-9, and although the model year is not given, I'm guessing it is 2016 or 2017 (second gen) CX-9. Other comments lead me to believe that older Mazdas may be fine. Anker's first-class customer service group provided a refund, so no complaint there. My solution to this problem is this RAVPower charger: USB Car Charger RAVPower 24W 4.8A Metal Dual Car Adapter for S9 / S8 / S7 / S6 / Edge / Plus, Note 5 / 4 , LG, Nexus, HTC with iSmart 2.0 Tech - Black Even though the RAVPower is shorter, its pointed nose allows a reliable contact to be made in my two Mazdas described above. I expect it will work in the CX-9, too. Otherwise, the two chargers provide similar features, and one subtle difference. Neither provides the latest and fastest charging Power Delivery, or Qualcomm charging solutions, but they both provide a solid 2.4 amp charge current from each USB jack. I recommend a high quality USB charging cable to take advantage of all these units can deliver. The subtle difference is this. My 2017 CX-5 has two accessory sockets, one on the dash and one inside the storage compartment between the two front seats. They differ in that the dash socket power is switched off when the ignition is off (like most late model cars), while the storage compartment socket is always powered. This can be useful if you wish to charge your phone after you've reached your destination without putting the ignition switch in the "accessory" mode. This allows phone charging without current draw by the infotainment center and other accessories. The question that arises is, "If a charger is powered at all times, should I be concerned with current it may use when I have no cell phone attached?" I measured the current for the engineers out there - the Anker unit uses 20.8 mA, and the RAVPower a mere 8.4 mA. I would guess that the main current usage is the blue LEDs each uses to allow you to find the USB ports at night. Bear in mind that your car has other "always live" systems using battery capacity, such as the locking and security systems. A very rough calculation indicates that the Anker by itself could use 10% of the car battery capacity in around 12 days if the car is not driven, while the RAVPower would take a month. So the RAVPower wins here. In any event, if you know you won't drive for many days, just pull the charger out of any always-powered socket. Some also express a concern about a powered charger being inside an enclosed space such as the storage compartment, or otherwise presenting a safety hazard. This doesn't worry me, since the car circuit is fused against a short circuit in the charger, and there is little if any heat generated from the unit. Of course, for maximum possible safety, you should remove any charger, especially from an always powered accessory socket, when not in use. ... show more

  • Excellent
Color: Black
Love the charger - like the dual charge capability. My car is older and does not have charging ports so this is perfect to charge two things at one time or if I have a passenger that needs to charge

  • Fast charging!

I lost track of my older car charger and decided to try out this one from Anker. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast it charges the devices that I have connected to it (iPhones and iPads).
