I installed this on my wife’s 2012 Jetta in about a hour. It’s basically plug and play. The directions are terrible but there’s plenty of YouTube videos to walk you through it. The quality is very good for the price and it does everything it says it does and it does them well. The speakers definitely don’t sound as loud as they were with the stock radio but you get what you pay for.     • It sucks, bad. But if you have very low expectations, maybe.
Opposite of the other one I reviewed, this one worked when connecting, kind of janky, but connected. Software sucked overall though, so I returned it. However physically it is AWFUL. The screen actually burns to rub your finger across, it's creaky, bad buttons. It also is basically an android tablet, that runs a connect app to get Android auto to work. Which is cool ig, you can go on YouTube or go to the play store on it. But the resolution is so bad you can literally count the pixels, like it looks like Minecraft but if everything was just a solid block color. No good, but still better than the $415 RCD360 IIIPro wireless which is crazy to say. Both ended up being unusable for me though. ... show more

The unit itself works very well and am very pleased. The description needs to reflect that it will not work with vehicles as new as 2017 without the purchase of an additional harness. The installation instructions were not very clear and by no means is this an easy plug and play diy installation. If you do not install radios often, plan on finding someone who does. Love the fact I can keep it looking stock and installation is just as easy as plug n play…functions work great, sounds good looks good fit is perfect. Value for money if you don’t want to spend $500 on an higher brand like Kenwood. all I need to buy now is a back up camera and I’m set! I think what I like the most about this radio is that it has physical buttons and they are positioned in the best spot for the driver to reach them. Installation was simple and firm the money this radio is a great deal. Connects to android auto easily.
