I got this to replace the machine that I had for almost 3 years. This is a much more compact version and it is a great little machine. I have had to reset the system when I have gotten the over-heat warning that others have stated, but I have been able to get 3-4 servings before the warning and the machine has always worked fast and well. My husband was skeptical when I ordered this because we already had a 20-year old espresso maker which we no longer used. As I reminded my husband, the reason we no longer used it was because it was a pain to use and the coffee didn't taste all that great! We've had the new one in operation for a couple of weeks now and my husband wants a cup every night (I love it when I'm right!)! What an improvement over our old machine! There are so many things to love about this machine, but the most important is the quality of the coffee it produces and that is exceptional. Whether I choose espresso, cappuccino or latte, it makes them all equally well. I'm particularly excited about the ease with which it steams the milk -- that used to be a laborious process that now can be done automatically! The machine is easy to use and the learning curve was very short, thanks to the detailed instruction book that is included with the machine. It even has a cleaning cycle to ensure long life of the milk steamer! If you purchase one of these for yourself, be sure to buy yourself a knock box to remove the grinds from the machine; it will make life so much easier and help to prevent damage to the holder when removing used grounds. I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys espresso beverages - the only thing it can't do is deliver it to me tableside! ... show more

The Amzchef Espresso machine is exactly what I had hoped for when I ordered it. At this price point, just having it be able to make a cup of espresso, a latte, or cappuccino would be worth it, but it delivers far more than that. Years ago, I had a pump espresso machine that was very expensive and was a lot of work to get a decent cup of cappuccino and clean up was a nightmare. Because of that I became a drip coffee drinker as cappuccinos were just not worth the effort. This little machine brought me back to forced steam coffee drinks as it packs a lot of functions for the price, it makes a great cup of coffee with a very nice crema and automatically adds the perfect amount of milk and foam, yielding a delicious cappuccino in just a couple of minutes. Because of the automatic milk frother, you don’t have to be an expert knowing how to use a hot steam wand in a cup of milk, hoping not to burn or blast the milk all over the place. I was worried that clean up would be difficult as the milk is coming through a machine, but no, the machine also comes with an automatic cleaning cycle, which makes cleaning and maintaining a clean machine absolutely foolproof and easy to do. No, this is not a $400 machine, so being nitpicky and expecting a fully stainless steel machine with cutting edge materials does not belong in this review. I am very happy with the machine as it functions spotlessly, provides a great cup of coffee quickly and I do not have to be a barista to be able to do it. I love this little machine! ... show more

I love this machine as it makes perfect espresso's cappuccino's and latte's. The milk frother works great too! You can use the auto select or customize your preference as you make your chosen drink. I like that it isn't so huge that it takes up a lot of counter space, not so tall that it won't slide under the cabinet. It has suction cups on the bottom which may be nice for some but I put it on a towel as I like to be able to slide it out to fill the water container, although the water container can be removed to fill. The milk frother can be detached, and you can make espresso's with or without it on the machine. I am very happy with this espresso machine and recommend it. ... show more
