No stains in our recliners from food or drinks. The covers do move a little bit/wrinkle as one uses the recliner so many times a day, but little 1 second nudge to put it back in its place again and all is well.     • "Faux" leather was peeling off my recliner, this slipcover was the solution.

About a year ago, I bought a knock-off of a Stressless or Scandinavian recliner chair. I liked the chairs, but I could NOT afford the $1,500+ retail cost for one. Instead, at half the cost, I bought a similar designed recliner chair with “faux” leather. I thought I was being a smart consumer, but as the story goes, you pay for what you get. To my dismay, the “faux” leather began to peel away like a bad skin sunburn. The chair was still functional and comfortable, but the “faux” leather kept peeling off in bigger and bigger pieces. I tried covering the chair with a blanket and a bedsheet, but it didn’t look good and wouldn’t stay in place. In searching for something that would cover the “faux” leather, I found the AMERITEX recliner chair slipcover. I was concerned about buying it because it was NOT designed to fit my recliner chair, but I had no other options. When I put the AMERITEX on my recliner chair, I was pleasantly surprised at the fit. It wasn’t a perfect fit, but good enough. I wrapped around an elastic bungee cord at the hinge between the seat and back cushions to keep the AMERITEX slipcover secured to the chair. This kept the slipcover from coming off whenever I stood up or moved around in the chair. The elastic bungee cord is NOT visible on the AMERITEX. If you’re in similar predicament, I recommend getting the AMERITEX slipcover, but do not rely on the pictures of the AMERITEX on a recliner chair to determine if it will fit your chair. All chairs are different. Instead, use a tape measure and compare the measurements of your chair to the measurement diagram of the AMERITEX slipcover on the seller’s Amazon page. If you do this, you will know how and if it will fit your chair. You will also know if you need to buy the 23-inch or the 30-inch slipcover. I'm only giving it 4-stars because I just got it and I'm not sure of its durability. It does, however, seem to be well made. ... show more

I actually ordered the 30” by mistake, but I’m so glad I did! This cover is amazing and fits my chair just like I wanted it to. Smaller one would have left gaps on the side that would have still left it uncovered. I love the feel. It does not slide around. Also, it doesn’t have a bad smell like some products do. Just received the slip cover and it went on very easy and looks OK. But I was disappointed in the lack of softness with the cover. My previous cover was quilted and soft to the touch. This one is quilted but no softness at all. I can't wait to my old one to come out of the washer and this one will be backup or maybe return it. ... show more

My wife and I bought a couple of brand new recliners recently after getting our 24 year old autistic son transitioned into an adult group home this past summer, for the next chapter of his life. Over the years we have had to make do with second hand furniture because he could be pretty rough on it. So with the first new furniture in many years we wanted to cover them in order to try and prevent them from becoming stained or soild with food or oils, particularly that from our heads which we had noticed with the old furniture. Her new chair is the brown one, she is petite. My chair is the gray chair and it's a chair & a half because I'm a big guy and like having plenty of acreage to get comfortable in. The two covers we chose are two different brands so to clarify, this little review pertains solely to the cover of the brown colored cover. It's a perfect fit and it adds just a little bit of added comfort to a brand new chair and it's stiffness, and the color is a great match as well. These seat covers are great. Them because my dog sheds a lot and the couch is very difficult to clean. All they have to do is throw these in the washing machine and they look brand new again. Definitely love how easy it is to install and clean. I bought a couple more for the house.

The fact that it was waterproof was just a plus unfortunately I had to return it because it did not fit my recliner, which is part of a sectional.
