This sub is worth every penny. I have this sub powered by a Audiopipe APCLE-18001D @ 2 ohms. If you are look for a sub on a budget or want a sub that can handle 1000 rms or better look no further. This badboy handles power very well, hits the lows like a champ, sound quality is excellent and the excursion is crazy. If you pick this beast up do yourself a solid and get a 2.5 cubic foot enclosure or better if you are wanting SPL. It will sound decent and bump in a small enclosure but to really bring this beast to life give it the recommend enclosure and you will not regret it. Update: I have had this sub since July 2019. Still going strong; now that it is broken in good it really gets down now. I have had zero issues out of this sub since I have purchased it. Do not sleep on this sub its worth the $$$. Have had several ppl hear it swear its a pair of subs or a 15. When I show them its just one 12in sub they can not believe it. Update 2: Posting this update since I have upgraded sub from the Elite to an American Bass HD 12 D2. The Elite is still holding up and still have had 0 issues from it. It has been ran on 900-1100rms since I purchased it and upon inspecting the voice coil it shows no signs of wear or anything else that would indicate any issues. ... show more

These subs are awesome I have them running of a APCLE AUDIOPIPE 1500 WATTS MONOBLOCK AMPLIFIER and they are slamming, I dont have the Gain but half way and subsonic bass turned just a little way up . I highly recommend this set up it hits really hard I can see my windshield moving when its turned up on a song with hard Bass , these subs are high quality SUBWOOFERS by American Bass Elite SERIES and the Audiopipe Amplifier is high quality as well . I'm extremely happy with this set up it's the best I've ever had , Lol know I'm wishing I could have the same set up in my other vehicle but can't afford it right now . I'll definitely buy again when I can afford to . I got 2 of these 12s to down size. I had been running Soundqubed for a while but they are having inventory issues so decided to try American Bass. Little research showed me that these were almost the same as some of the sq 10s I had that blew away my expectations. When they arrived they looked like the basket and motors I had on the 10s so I felt really good about my purchase. Installed them and they definitely didn’t disappoint at all. Have the pair on a smart 3 in a box tuned to 27hz and they sound great. If you’re looking for some good budget subs these are definitely a great option. Steel basket so you don't want it facing sideways. Says it takes 1200 watts. Voice coil is burnt after a year of rated power. Yet my alpine type X is only rated for 1000 and gets the same power and it's voice coil looks brand new.

Great sub, have been wanting to get this for a few yrs now and finally got my hands on 1 and this thing by itself is pushing harder than my 2 pioneer champions, I can only imagine when i get my second one one here in a few days, highly recommended

Upgraded from a pair of 12" Gravity subs that cost just about the same price. A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE! There's no comparison. After a few days of break-in, these American Bass Elite 1244's DESTROY the Gravity subs. Ok, so they have a stamped basket, but a HUGE motor assembly and stiff cones. These babies POUND! I have a Powerbass XMA-2000D pushing them and even at 1000 RMS each, the look like they're not even moving. If you're looking for budget friendly subs that can handle a ton of power and hit the LOW-lows, don't sleep on these. I am one happy Basshead. ... show more

i bought this to upgrade from 2 Earthquake Tremor 12's and this thing is a absolute unit! I did custom build a box to 2.8cu ft and once the sub was installed it put it right at its recommended 2.5cu ft of air space and this joker hits harder than any subwoofer i have had it is running off a Taramps HD 3k and it shakes most of my car and rattles my windows so i will definitely be buying more! ... show more
