This cooler works well. Varies with temperature on holding ice. I had a issue with the plug, so I’ve been trying to buy another one and you cannot find a replacement plug. So therefore the ice isn’t holding well for me. I’d really like to find a solution because I do enjoy this product.

Amazing. Why pay 2x or 4x the price? This works just as well as the other brands. The design and manufacturing are excellent. The design elements I like start with the latches. They are simple sturdy levers mounted on durable rubber straps. So easy to use. Brilliant. Next is the handle area. The handles are great, long enough and comfortable. There is also a provision for a cargo strap. This can be used to secure a wheel kit or strap it down to your hitch or other platform. Well thought. There are also places for straps on the lid if you want to go that route. Finally, the stainless corners work as bottle openers and the lock reinforcement. What would make it better? A relief valve tops this list. I just open the drain a little to let air in and it frees up the lid. It would also be nice if they offered the specs for a cutting board and a basket or just offered the products on the page. Finally, low profile skate wheels would be brilliant. People could add the bigger wheels if needed. All coolers this size should come with wheels on one end IMHO. All that said, this thing just works. We went on vacation for a week. Used it as transport on the way to and the drink cooler while there. Despite staying outside and being opened 30x a day, the ice lasted 5 days. Crazy. On the way home, we added one 20# bag of ice to a cooler of refrigerated goods. When we got home, we only had 6oz of water, hardly any ice had melted in 11 hours. The sticker came right off too. I’ve had this cooler for about a year now. I use it on multi-day rafting trips as a drink and extra ice cooler. I just got back from a 5 day float in 110+ heat and this cooler had ice when we got home. It seals so tight I often have to remove the drain plug to equalize pressure in order to get the lid open. Works great and very rugged. Highly recommend. The key to this cooler (or any rotomolded cooler) is to pre-chill the cooler 24 hours before you plan to use it, otherwise it will melt your ice very quickly. ... show more

We have had this modest 20 quart cooler which mimics the big names yeti, Rtic, and others, and use it exclusively as a long-term beverage unit in our car. Never would have purchased such a small cooler but we needed something specifically for behind the driver seat, number one. Secondly the wife co-pilot had to be able to reach back and grab a beverage. This was challenging with the elastic clamp style system. But thirdly because of the technology of these coolers, her pepsis and my bottled water have stayed super cold for up to a week. We have since moved the cooler to the back of the SUV. Stuck it behind the rear seat and our backup wool blanket sits atop the cooler. The elastic clamps really seal the lid. The water valve screw is large and easy to dump water out. And like I mentioned cold beverages anytime. I use ice cubes, or I use the frozen insulated freezer blocks, doesn't really matter the beverages stay cold. Now of course I'm really hot days when it gets really hot inside the car this becomes a little more challenging. You're really cool thing is, if We are out grocery shopping or running errands and someone gets thirsty for a tasty beverage, there's one in the back in the Amazon cooler. Jan-04-2022 Initial rating: giving three stars (average) as a starting, untested status After a lot of going back and forth, reading and seeing youtube reviews of the very famous, popular and *expensive* YETI roadie 24, the price difference of the amazon cooler is what drove me to give this a try. The Yeti doesn't go on sale (at least, not that I'm aware of ) so getting this cooler for $117 versus $199 (Yeti) make sense. Many people have a need to keep items cold for days whereas my usage will be for a day trip at the beach or by the lake, at best. I will also use this cooler for get togethers where I'll need to store ICE for a few hours to use in drinks. The only time I can see a need to keep things cold would be if I decide to use this to brine my turkey during the thanksgiving holiday. The item was delivered with no issues. I deliberately purchased the white color. Based on my research, it makes a difference on a hot day and if your cooler is sitting in the sun. White reflects sun whereas the dark colors absorb heat. The cooler appears to be well made, has a nice rubber gasket that would provide a good seal. The handle seems sturdy. The empty cooler weight is a bit on the heavy side for me. While I did read the actual weight in the specs so I was aware, holding it in my hands was a reality check. I wish it was lighter. I can picture once it is fully loaded with drinks and ice, it would be a challenge to carry it from the car to the beach or lake side. I have a small, foldable hand cart. I will be using it to transport the loaded cooler so overall, not too concerned at this point. My basic, initial test: I opened the cooler and simply dumped all the ice from my fridge and closed the lid. I'd like to see what will happen to the ice. The cooler is sitting on my kitchen floor so there's no outside temp factors at this point. I will continue testing and post the updates here.
