I know there are all kinds of big tech grinders, but I just need something basic for a pot of coffee. I drink black rifle coffee but don’t take it too serious. You can definitely tell when a bean is freshly ground, at least I can. This is simple. Holds enough brands to grind for a couple of days and easy to clean. This thing is well built and robust, it does a great job of grinding coffee beans but it is very messy. The grounds get stuck in the lid ring and around the base where the lid sits on the grinder. Once a week I have to use a steak knife to clean them out or the switch won’t function. Every time you pull the lid off some grounds will get on the counter. We have it sitting on a paper plate to catch them but it still seems to make a mess. Overall I’ve used this thing 3x a week for months and it’s held up so for the price I still think it’s a pretty good value. ... show more
