This product is not intended for immediate relief of heartburn; may take 1 to 4 days for full effect.

I have horrible GERD. Initially I was taking OTC omeprazole, 20mg didn't work, took 40mg (a dr had told my mom to do so), it was working for awhile but then stopped. Went to the Dr and was put on Dexilant for over a year, health insurance was fine with it for over. a. year! when they said "nope, not anymore!" and i've since realized my stomach can not digest solid pills. And despite KNOWING FROM EXPERIENCE that 40mg of omeprazole does NOT HELP me, that's ALL the health insurance will pay for, so now i'm stuck paying 100% myself for a perscription of 80mg of omeprazole capsules (soft things with powder inside, not solid tablets). That worked for .. maybe a couple weeks? So i've since had to find something to help and all I could find at first was tablets my body will not digest but then I found these! They dissolve on the tongue! So now I add (my Dr knows all this and is also frustrated with my health insurance) 1 of these every day (total daily omeprazole: 100mg) and it's working at the moment ... I take the script in the morning and 1 of these in the evening. ... show more

I really love this medication as someone who has troubling swallowing. It really does melt in your mouth in a matter of seconds and it taste like strawberries. Best part is, is that it lowers my stomach acid and helps with my GERD.

It works very well and helps with the heartburn consistently. But while it is effective, it does not taste as good as the other reviewers are saying it to be! As the tablet melts in your mouth, it is a very chalky texture and the taste can only be described as a mix of bitter and a slight sweetness. Definitely not the advertised flavor (we got strawberry). What is worse is the bitter aftertaste that remains for about 20 mins after you've taken it. ... show more

Since I was diagnosed with cancer and doing chemo, I started to get heartburn really bad. I needed something fast and effective. This is the best product for quick relief.
