Haven’t used it yet, but the immediate disappointment was how short the handles. My old ones had longer handles to reach into the fire easier. That’s why it only gets a 3 star rating.

    • Handles and poles are too short
Purchased these as a gift. When we took them out of the packaging, the stick/pole handles were not long enough.

This worked as expected, but sadly, the handles are really short, which means you have to get really close to your coals/fire, and have to move them around. It does work, don't get me wrong, and made some great mountain pies, just wish they would give you handles that are twice as long as what is provided. I will say, I got 2 sets of handles... but they were the same length. ... show more

Love this item. I like that it's nice cast iron, works super well for making mountain pies and we've used it while camping several times now. It comes apart very easily to clean, and is easy to put back together.

I don't think this company knows what their doing making or packaging. The box says 2 Comes with one But yet it comes with an extra stick.... And the stick is HALF as long as it should be. Real cast iron but really cheap stick.
