  • Beautifully produced collection of photos about 85% never published before
I own several books with photographs of Audrey Hepburn and, indeed, many photographs in this book were new to me. This book is (10")x(11+3/8"), about 1+1/8" thick (287 pages of very heavy high-gloss photographic paper). Surprisingly - given its size - it is presented as a 2021 "small-format edition" of the 2019 original. It starts out with an Introduction and an interview with Terence Pepper accompanied by many photos of a young Audrey Hepburn (pp 5-19}. Following are the photographs of six photographers: Laurence Fried (pp 20-79): Audrey mostly at the time of her Broadway appearance in "Gigi" (1951-52) Norman Parkinson (pp 80-107): Audrey at various ages through her marriage with Mel Ferrer. Milton Greene (pp 108-151): Audrey from "Gigi" and into later career Douglas Kirkland (pp 152-195): Audrey in "How to Steal a Million (1966) and "Robin and Marion" (1976) Terry O'Neill (pp 196-273): Audrey in "How to Steal a Million (1966) and "Two for the Road" (1967) Eva Sereny (pp 274-283): Audrey in her final film "Always" (1989). If you are a fan of Audrey Hepburn this book will be hard to turn down ... show more

  • A photographic treasure of one of the planet's great treasures
When I first saw Roman Holiday many, many years ago, I was blown away; Gregory Peck was great. Eddie Albert was great. Audrey Hepburn was luminous. Charade, Sabrina so many other films. My Fair Lady she certainly was. And now, in this gem of a book, we see Audrey Hepburn and marvel how a person of talent and character was able to change the world in her own way. She cared about people who did not have anything. More than being a beautiful star, she was a great human being. Not perfect, but she touched the lives of people who never knew what a movie was. Kindness for the sake of kindness. Radiance that came not from her beauty but from her heart. ... show more

  • a truly lovely book
I don't know how anyone could give this less than a 5 star rating. If you love Audrey Hepburn, you will want to have this beautiful book. The pictures are fabulous and it was fun reading the perspectives from the photographers. She was one of a kind.
