This durable, self-healing, reversible cutting mat is 3 millimeters thick. Not just for cutting; it can also be used as a desk blotter or general-purpose work mat.

The design allows for a long-lasting, non-glare, surface that can be cut and slashed constantly without showing marks or cutting lines. Non-stick surface is impervious to abrasions and liquid spills.
  • Printed grid pattern includes guidelines for 45 and 60 degree angles and 0.5 inch grid lines. Find the perfect center on any project with zero centering lines. All 4 edges are fully numbered and graduated with 0.125 inch hash marks that extend beyond the zero base line for convenience. Mat sizes 24 x 36 inches and above include internal horizontal and vertical graduated hash marks.

I have had this mat about a year and a half now. For all that time it has been flat on my table top in my craft room. It hasn't been wet or stored away. Lately it has developed a very noticeable ripple down the center. Keeping it pushed down flat while trying to cut things is quite a pain. From the beginning, I was not happy about the self healing properties of this mat. It does not self heal. The marks made remain. The one I had before really did heal. Cuts disappeared. But I decided to just live with it. Now, I don't know how long mats are supposed to last, but this one will have to be replaced. For a product that had good recommendations, I expected it to at least be as advertised. ... show more

I used this to cut up papers for my daughters art project. I used an exacto knife and it scores the mat but it doesn't damage it beyond a very small score line. I love the grid as it saves time to line up a ruler or cutting edge and ensure a straight an accurate cut.
