After searching for a high quality, reasonably priced alternative to ridiculously overpriced bars, this is the one. Everything about this bar is high quality, and easily accepts the wide bands. I use two sections, and they are very sturdy, and two is the same size as my doorway, but the third section would work for squats, though I have not tried it yet. Geku Fit's newest aluminum bar is by far the best resistance band bar on Amazon. I've purchased practically every resistance band bar on Amazon that uses a hook and Geku's original resistance band bar was the best one in terms of strength, durability and smoothness of use. Geku's original resistanced band bar was not perfect though in that the original hook size could have been slightly larger and it had some rough edges where the hooks are bent. I've never had an issue with it tearing a band but I was always concerned these sharper corners would wear down my bands over time. This new aluminum bar completely eliminates those problems. The hooks are rounded off smoothly with no rough edges and the hooks are also larger. I've done deadlifts with a reputable band that has a range of 90-230 lbs and the bar has been rock solid. The knurling feels great and it really feels like I'm using a bar you would find at a commercial gym. While being pretty happy with the original Geku bar, I was always still interested in the very expensive resistance band bars sold outside Amazon that easily cost 5x-10x as much. After purchasing this Geku aluminum bar, I no longer have any interest in those other bars. ... show more

I own the original black Geku resistance band bar, and have gotten TONS of value out of it. A great X3 dupe for literally 1/12 of the cost. My only real gripe with that original was that the hooks were a little small for wide bands. I also didn't love that the sections of bar weren't the same sizes when you break it down. Seemed like symmetrical sections would make way more sense for travel. This upgraded aluminum bar addresses both of these issues super well. The larger hooks easily accommodate wider bands, and I feel more confident when doing heavy moves like squats or deadlifts. It's the same length as the original, which is great. This one also breaks down to 3 even pieces that fit very nicely into the included travel case!! Big win. ... show more

So there is a much more expensive bar that this GEKU FIT matches. It kind of started the whole heavy duty band craze. I wanted to get that bar, but the cost was ridiculous. I ended up with some heavy duty bands, but have been using another bar - and it's been fine, but just isn't the same. Then I saw this bar by GEKU FIT and knew this might be the magical alternative....and so far it is!! First off, the case is really nice. Normally when things say they come with a case or storage bag - it's cheap. This case is custom formed to the bars and is nice and compact! Second, this bar is SOLID!!! I have no concerns that it will fail. I saw another review mentioning the hooks couldn't support the band during heavy deadlifts - and so far that has not been my experience. Third, this bar is much more versatile than the original - you can customize it to 3 different lengths which is very nice - so you can get more of a barbell experience or more of a dumbbell experience. Finally, the hooks seems very sturdy and I love that they swivel so your bands don't get caught up in a weird way. All in all, I think this is a wonderful alternative to the much more expensive original. I would definitely recommend this. ... show more

This bar makes several exercises so much easier. I used to use a very dense bamboo pole to hold the wide, stretchable resistance bands; the ones that are a closed loop that kind of look like giant rubber bands. But there was no easy way to use the tube type resistant bands. This resistance band bar fixes that problem. The bar accepts both the wide closed loop type and the tube type. What I really like about this bar is the way it feels, like an actual barbell. This thing allows you to do almost anything you can do with a barbell, seriously! The bar feels good in my hands, and it can be changed into a smaller dumbbell type bar in just a few seconds. This is so much better than the bamboo pole! There is no band slipping; once you put them on, they stay there until you want them off. This is a wonderful addition to my home gym. Easily worth five stars! ... show more

In this review I will be comparing this GEKU FIT resistance band bar to the original X3 Bar that I own. This bar is made from high quality aluminum with stainless steel thread inserts and band holders. The original X3 Bar that I own is 24 inches long and this bar is 30 inches long; and the longer bar is absolutely preferred. I really like that this bar has the option to flip the two knurled grip pieces into a narrow grip or a wide grip depending on your preferred choice. The fact that this bar can be unscrewed and fit into a 12 inch long carry case makes this product fantastic for traveling. The only improvement I would make to this product is to have the band holders be highly polished for less friction on the latex bands. I would highly recommend this product. ... show more
