It just got delivered 30 minutes ago 4/7/23. Everything looks good no dents cracks or other visual damage. I researched this fridge on YouTube. They say you should let the unit stand level at least 12 hours before use to allow compressor fluids to settle. This is because in shipping it may have been stored on its side so I’m letting it sit until tomorrow. The instructions doesn’t say to do this, but it makes sense to me. So, I will come back and update this review when I put it to use. I’ve heard good things about Alpicool so I am a little disappointed that the logo is just a peel and stick on tape which has a bubble in it so it’s not adhered very well. However the label doesn’t make it run. Just hoping I haven’t Ben given a cheap knock off. If it works I’ll be happy. UPDATE: it’s the next day so I believe it’s sat long enough. It started right up with my jackery for power. In 10 minutes it went from 64 degrees down to 54 and dropping as I type. It’s on Max at the moment drawing 44w. Switched to eco mode now drawing 29w. It fluctuates just a bit has compressor kicks on and off. Success. I’m happy with it. ANOTHER UPDATE: I’ve had this for one work week. It’s working great. I probably would have done better with the 9liter fridge because it takes up some space in my king cab, but I do plan to use it for camping so it’s ok. Got a fridge thermometer and found that it was actually 30 degrees inside so I set the unit to 41degrees. My concern now is for when the Texas heat ramps up. It’s refreshing to have cold V8, water and fruit cups. It’s working perfectly, as for power supply, that’s a work in progress. My 500 jackery doesn’t last all day. ... show more

I am so impressed with this little refrigerator. It gets so cold fast. I can actually make ice cubes in under five hours and it stays cold. Even after it’s been off forever I can freeze things or I can use as a refrigerator. I am constantly on the road we also have an off grid property that this works perfect for I can’t say enough about this and products is so quiet I don’t even know that it’s on. Good quality! Decent price. Works great and keeps things cold for those longer trips. I also use it for my overnight camping trip’s, I have a bigger one for longer stays. Great for grocery shopping when you have a few errands to run and want to keep the refrigerated goods cold.

The media could not be loaded. I've been driving an 18-wheeler for 30 years and I've used every type of cooler refrigerator you could possibly imagine! In 2020 through 2022 I bought three GE mini refrigerators which only worked for about 6 to 8 months each! Each of them were nearly $400! So I took a chance on buying this product I bought one about 2 months ago as a freezer and I loved it, so I bought another one to act as a refrigerator! I paid approximately $360 for both about $180 a piece! I absolutely love it! this is an awesome product! It is quiet and makes relatively little noise as the video will show! Most truck drivers get home weekly or every two weeks! If I stay out for 2 weeks the size of both of these fits the perfect amount of food I need for that time.! I will say that the amount of money I will save by eating out of my truck as opposed to restaurants and fast food joints will pay for these products over time! I will say that the refrigerator does not freeze my food! typically that GE refrigerator would on occasion freeze my lettuce etc at times but this cooler does not! The freezer is amazing you can go as low as -4! They are both 21 quart sizes and that is just perfect for my use! The video will show you how quiet these coolers are and they sit right next to my bunk and I don't hear them one bit! I do have plug in slots but you also get a cord you can plug into a cigarette lighter! I normally don't do videos but this was worth doing it! if you're a truck driver?     • Temperature fluctuates and efficiency isn't amazing

For the price of this unit, this fridge does the trick. I bought it to use in my SUV when we're on the road for extended periods of time, as coolers with ice were getting expensive and were a hassle. I just needed an affordable and small fridge for the next 6 months until I upgrade to a larger vehicle and larger fridge. For the time being, this works. If I were going to use this for longer, I would probably return for a more efficient unit. The reviews are correct in saying that this fridge cools down quickly. It went down from room temperature (70 F) to 39F in about a half hour. However, it pulls between 35 (eco mode)-45 (normal mode) watts while it is running, which is far less efficient than other units on the market. My 268WH battery can power this for 8-16 hours depending on external temperature. (For example, it recently got down to the 30's where we've been traveling, and it would keep insulated enough that it wouldn't trigger my battery for so long that the battery turns off. I'd wake up in the morning with the unit sitting around 38-40F.) My two biggest issues with the unit are efficiency and the timing for when the fridge kicks on to cool. If I have the fridge set to 38, it will usually not turn on to cool things back down until the unit is showing an internal temperature of 42-44F. This is a bit worrisome if you are carrying meats or dairy or medication, so I usually set it to 36 so that it kicks back on at around 40F. I'd rate this higher if the unit would kick on within 2-3 degrees of the set temperature, for the safety of the food products stored inside. The 16QT is big enough to store a few days worth of cold food for one person and 1-2 cans of soda/beer. I've noticed that the more food is in the fridge, the cooler it stays. ... show more
