Keep going and the blind will begin to raise, with the fabric now rolled onto the tube in different directions
  • Size Details- Maxium Height 72", Blind width 58", Fabric width 57". On all roller shades the fabric width will be approximately 1 inch narrower than the size you order to allow space for the mounting brackets and roller barrel. In that scenario, there will be a light gap on each edge when doing a blackout roller shade as an inside mount

Overall, this is a nice, medium quality shade. I actually put it on a window in my garage and the light gray matches my slat wall. I would say it has a modern, minimalist vibe to it. It rolls up and down smoothly. If you are looking for a simple shade, you don’t mind seeing the brackets, and you like a rolling shade, this could be a good choice. One thing…I wish it came in half sizes. My window width was 3/4 past a round number. That meant I had to go down to the smaller size and then the actual shade is 1 inch less than the listed shade size (to account for the bracket, etc. So this shade ended up almost 2 inches narrower than my window opening. It’s still ok, but there are pretty sizeable gaps on the sides. ... show more

After our first purchase we ended up buying 3 more of these to cover several other windows! They were fairly easy to install and set up. We hung these so they roll away from the window so we could keep our sheer curtains under them. They do block a substantial amount of light, although some light does sneak around the edges. I think the amount of light would be reduced if we were to turn them around so that they were tighter to the windows, but then we'd have to remove the sheers we have hanging behind them. We're okay sacrificing a little light blocking for that. We did ultimately add some chain beads that function as stops - that way we can have all of the blinds set to stop at the same points both when fully open and when fully closed. But they are not necessary to install and use these. ... show more

The ALLBRIGHT Modern Textured Fabric Blackout Roller Shades, 58"x72", Stripe Jacquard Thermal Insulated Roller Blinds Windows Treatment for Home is good. It is well made, the fabric seems to be of good quality and came with necessary hardware. It is very easy to install, I didn't spend more than 10 minutes from unboxing to have it fully installed in the window. To be honest, I didn't feel any difference in the thermal insulation in the cold days, it is not thick enough to have a good thermal insulation. The reason I removed 2 stars is because the fabric is one inch smaller than the product description. In my case I bought the 58"x72 size and the fabric width is 57" as you can see in the attached picture. This one inch gap is allowing a lot of natural light to go inside and this difference was not stated in the product description. If was not this size difference, it would be a 5 stars review. ... show more

Description says reversible so that it can be installed to roll either over or under, but the color is only on one side. If installed so that the blind sets deeper inside the window frame and rolls from “under” the blind is white and the color and design shows outside the window, not in the house.
