Description

This blackout window shades is consist of slow rise spring loaded roller blind system, quality blackout material, a round aluminium bottom bar in silver finish and some accessories. Ideal for a variety of room darkening and audio visual needs. Here are some notes below for reference: 1. Size: the actual width of the fabric will be approximately 1.37" less than the overall blind width ordered, this is to allow for the brackets and operating mechanism. 2. Light gap: there will be a “halo” of light around the edges of the window treatment when you use it. One way to eliminate the “halo” around the edges of an otherwise blackout window treatment is to create a multi-layer treatment that combines side panels and a valance or cornice box to stop the light at the border and take your room’s decor to the next level. Multi-layer treatments can take your windows from ordinary to extraordinary while eliminating all glare from your room. 3. Reverse roll: the fabric is placed to wrap over the roller to fall in front, leaving a gap between the shade and the window. It is best for an inside mount. If you’re adding window treatments to doors with handles or windows with cranks, this gap lets the shade close over things like these. Or if you don't mind, you can put the back side in the front for a smaller gap. 4. These blinds arrived quickly and were exactly as described. The vinyl is a good thickness and they are blackout so no light gets through the vinyl itself. My only critiques for the company are that the package does not mention blackout and the image makes it appear that light will get through so I was hesitant to open them. The staples used to seal the product are peculiarly sharp. I cut myself several times trying to remove them. The instructions make it clear you are to use three brackets to install the blinds but only two are provided per blind. Lastly the pull knob is difficult to attach and as a result I broke one. This was my mistake so I'm not upset with the company but I do with the knobs were preinstalled. All and all none of this affected my satisfaction in the end, but they were notable enough to warrant listing here for any other researched consumer. I love this as we put up blackout black miniblinds in our bedroom and were getting light from the side corners, so we got this a little wider and mounted on top of the above trim and pull it down at night and absolutely no light is getting in.

Love the quality, my room gets totally blacked out now even with my window in line of the sun in the mornings, but we'll see how long it lasts, durablity is key and I think this product should last me as least 10 years. Hopefully anyway.

Fast delivery, sturdy, good quality, easy to install, measurements look ok and black out works great. 4/5 because the string to bring the curtain up and down is too short BUT easy to replace, and the nice fabric is on the outside of the roll, which means it rolls toward the room instead of toward the window. it is opposite to some other models I tried before and is a little less efficient in blocking light since it is not as close of the window as it could be. I bought 4 items for the bedrooms, in different width, they fit perfectly. I would recommend this product because of the good quality and fair price. ... show more

I love that there’s a pull cord so I don’t have to get up on top of the bed to close the shade.     • pretty much junk unless you're cool with having to pull it out 72 in every time you want to close it
JUNK!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE TO EXTENDED IT THE FULL 72" BEFORE IT WILL RETRACT this thing is another piece of junk I was so excited after waiting almost 2 weeks to get it shipped in don't know why the heck it took that long 'cause it was in stock but they didn't bother to send it until 2 days before its due date. sitill l I got it installed made extra holes in my walls put the balance back on above it then pull it down the 18-in I needed to to cover the window and then to run a test and close it I was required to pull it all the way out the entire 72-in. it's too bad too because the material actually looked like it was made half decently in the shade might actually have lasted to black out factor may have actually worked but unfortunately the operational mechanisms were complete junk So it's off to Lowe's at home Depot to try to find a better solution ... show more
