I love my Alexa! It makes my life easier with reminding me of appointments, being able to add items to grocery list, timers, recipes with great pictures. The brightness of the screen makes it easy to see clearly. It’s also great to be able to control the volume with your voice. Alexa is just perfect for day to day activities such as having it connected to your ring and lights so you can see who is at your surroundings outside your house and voice controlling the lights in your house. The last Echo I owned was from the earlier 2nd gen, so having a screen on this is a huge step up. The ads and intrusiveness it has however are extremely unwelcome, thankfully it comes with settings that you can change to remove them from appearing in the settings in Home Content. The screen itself is very clear and the speaker is loud and has a surprising amount of bass in a little package. I would recommend buying the stand with it because the speaker's outside material is prone to absorbing or having other colors rubbed off on it, but it's white. If you're expecting this to operate like a tablet however you'd be mistaken as this has very limited functionality in that regard, this is more for having a screen to show you the weather, scroll through family photo's or view your security cameras on. ... show more

I really like the new larger screen. This replaced my quirky, small Echo Show that was beginning to lag and malfunction. The speaker quality seems much improved, as does the display. I did the setup after ordering and prior to receiving, but not all my settings migrated to this new model. I’m still figuring it out, as there are some differences. Still, I REALLY like all the features: news, weather, photos, shopping, lists, reminders, our camera views on-screen, music, I can ask it to run my robovac, and I even have it set to detect when my dogs bark-I receive a notification and then it plays “dog calming” music, haha.
