I installed the system a week ago and it works great. Video and audio quality are impressive for such a small price point. Install is easy as the cameras are wireless, but you still need a 120v plug to power them. The operating system on the NVR is a bit clunky to navigate, but after using it for a while, it becomes pretty simple. I have my system connected directly to my router via a Ethernet cable so I cannot attest to how well it works connected via wifi, but it works great hardwired to the network. The NVR has its own wifi 2.4ghz system that connects the cameras that is independent of your own wifi network. Im going to assume that is the way all of these wireless security camera systems work as this is the first one I have ever used. Now some install tips: make sure that your antenna's are in a vertical position on NVR as well as your cameras. Your camera antenna's can be pointing down instead of up, just make sure that they are vertical as this will provide you with the best signal. If you are installing your camera in a place where you need to point the antenna's down, you can actually spin the camera upside down as there is an option to flip the image in the camera settings called "image rollover". Customer service was prompt to email me back as I have a bad microphone in one of my cameras, after some troubleshooting with their service support, they are sending me a replacement. On to the app: the paperwork that comes with the unit will tell you to download the "honestview" app, and the QR code in the NVR will take you to the "eseecloud" app. I installed the eseecloud app (for android) and it works great. It connects fast and allows me to view all 4 cameras live, or I can search any of the recordings. Notifications seem to work fine, and the only complaint about the app is the "snooze" option to silence notifications doesnt appear to work but thats not a huge deal as I can just turn them off if needed. All in all, its a great system for its price point as it does everything that it says it will do. But, when there is a problem, as I experienced with OOSSXX, the response from Customer Service becomes the most important aspect of your purchase. Jesse returned my initial phone call promptly, worked me through a troubleshooting procedure and then stepped up and owned the problem, backed up their warranty, and within days sent me a replacement SATA hard drive. Second update: I have figured out the ratio on the monitor, my bad. The range is good. I wish the cameras were not pre numbered and that all pictures could be the same size on the monitor. But overall I am getting happier with the system. Now i just hope to get the replacement camera. Update: I have to admit the customer service has been fast and useful. 1 camera did not stay powered up and they are sending me a new one. Original post: I have installed several different brands of security cameras and on this one the monitor settings suck. First, just get a little monitor because the system will not fit the screen. Second, because of first issue, the pictures are small. Except one. On every other system you can make them equal or enlarge. Three, wants to force cloud storage. If I wanted to use the cloud, I would not have bought a 4tb storage system. Four, it appears the cameras are numbered. But not marked. And these are the issues found on just setting it up with 2 cameras. I will add when I discover more. ... show more
