When I get stuff, I, like many other folks, like to figure out how to use something without reading the instructions. Yes, I know...you should always read the manual. But this isn't a life threatening thing that if you don't, something bad would happen to you. My issue was the knife. I could see it, but I couldn't get to it. After I went to the sale page and saw the instructions (they don't come with any in the package), the tab you have to depress to slide the fork out was 'obvious' Otherwise, this is a pretty good device. I like that they put the bottle lever with the corkscrew - you usually don't see that on a multi-tool. Only after a few uses could you determine wear/tear/etc. But for now, seems like a pretty good spoon/knife/fork set. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Awesome little multi-tool utensil set.. and that from someone’s whose not typically a multi-tool person. This is my second as I’d ordered one from another vendor awhile back and my kid decided he wanted that one. I’ll say I was surprised that this is a nice quality made item. Nothing on it feels cheap or flimsy. Every piece, edge, corner and surface is smooth and clean feeling with a nice overall finish. Holding each section initial seems a bit odd but everything is soft on the hands while holding and using. The size of each is good and comfortable. Usually the spoons are flat or too wide but this one is great. The serrated knife is sharp and has cut everything from bread to steak without any issues. The fork had the perfect size and bend. It originally took me a minute to figure out how to separate the two halves but not long. You simply have to side the sections properly and they come apart easily. Stiff at first but quickly becomes easier to separate or put back together. The pivots all rotate easily. While the knife locks into position and is easily closed by pressing the locking spring bar, the spoon and fork do not lock into positions, however they don’t seem to need to. Both open and click into place and do require a bit of force to rotate closed. So far we’ve used these in the kitchen, traveling in the truck and camping. I’ve been very surprised at how easy they operate, how well each part feels and how comfortable it is to use each feature of this multi-tool. Soups, steaks, fish, French toast, hotdogs, cereal, potatoes, bread, spaghetti, etc etc has all been used so far with this set. No issues and I liked it so much I added a second one. Cleaning should be done asap after use. With all the crevices and nooks I always wash them as soon as we’re done eating. I pack an old toothbrush which makes cleaning items like this super easy. Been camping for 50 years and have lots of gear. I’ve dropped these into the center console of the truck to use while traveling. This is a nice, solidly made multi-tool. I think my daughter will love it for our camping outings. It's made of pretty robust metal (perhaps steel), which makes it have weight in hand... For this reason, I won't ever take it on a backpacking trip as my utensil but I'd happily take it along on a cabin camping outing. Spoon, fork, knife, can opener, wine opener and corkscrew. You might want to get two so you can have the knife in one hand and a fork in the other. :) ... show more

    • Pretty basic but potentially useful
I have a stainless steel multi-tool/utensil set that’s almost identically designed, but this one actually came with a sheathe (instead of a drawstring bag like my other one). I’m not sure what the other reviewer was expecting, but this clearly isn’t intended to be a heavy duty multi-tool for hunting, firewood processing, etc…it’s a compact set of basic eating utensils. As such, it meets that standard just fine. It would be nice if they included some instructions on how to separate the fork (my other set didn’t either and I had to look at the product page) but, once you figure that out, this makes a decent little set of lightweight, compact, and easy to clean eating utensils (again, common sense should tell you you’re not going to be able to field dress a deer with this set but you can cut a hamburger in half and/or stir some beans with no problem).     • Nice to Use
This frustrated me at first b/c there were no instructions. Now you may be saying, "hey you random internet person, why do you need instructions for something as simple as this?", well, I'll say that there is no mention of how you get the knife out. At first glance, it's buried in the middle of the unit. You have to separate the kit into two halves and then you can flick it out. Once I watched the video a few times on the product page, it was pretty simple. However, if this was given out as a gift, it could be quite confusing to someone who had no idea about that feature. On another note, the knife is sharp, all the pieces click into place quite well--and the carrying case is a good bonus. I will take this camping with me. ... show more
