I was able to install the camera in less than an hour with nothing more than a screwdriver. The wires slide nicely into the gaps under the dash and in the door trim to allow everything to be hidden easily. So far so good. Installed the SD card, great. Tried to wire red wire for the back camera to an always on power source. Bad plan. That's supposed to connect to a reverse only power source like a backup light or something. When it has power the camera will only show the rear camera. Good to know, which the instructions said that. Okay unhook that. Now to play with the settings. Good luck with the instructions. Hope you have a magnifying glass. You have to keep the key turned on to mess with the settings unless your cigarette lighter is always on. Best case is your cigarette lighter comes on when you start the car because that allows you to allow the camera to turn on and off automatically when the car ignition tarts and stops. Do you want movement sensor on? probably not. Especially when driving For the menus: Power is lower right. Menu button on the middle left. Scroll up and down with top left and bottom left. Okay button on top right Likely you'll try several settings before finding the right one. Be ready to sit in the car for a while toggling through the settings, accidently exiting the settings screen and finding your way back. When driving with both cameras attached you can click the down button to scroll between different display modes on the screen (front only, back only, front big and back small, back big and front small). If you connected the red wire for the back camera to a reverse power source, it goes full screen when backing up. Night vision for the back camera is nearly useless on the small screen. So far I haven't been able to figure out how to record the back camera either. To watch videos I prefer to take the SD card out and use my laptop to watch the videos. It's easier to go through the videos to get the segment you want. The video is saved in segments from 1 to 3 minutes (settings), so for a complete drive you have to go through several videos, which is just easier on a computer. There are lots of cheap adapters to let you use a microSD card if you machine doesn't have one built in. Camera is small enough that it's not distracting and you can set the screen to be on screensaver (date and time) mode when driving if you don't want to have the screen on while driving. Once all of this is setup, it's more or less just let it run. Mine powers on automatically when I start the car, settings are saved, so the screen comes on in my preferred view. When I power the car off the camera shuts down. Easy peezy. With a Teenage Driver it's nice to know that if something happens it will be harder for people to blame my kid when it's not their fault and if it IS their fault I won't have to fret about wanting to believe their cockamamie story. Thankfully I haven't tested the crash autosave or anything like that, but I expect I'd still have video for a couple of days if something happened. ... show more

Don't let price fool you. This is a great camera and easy to use. Picture and playback are wonderful. The only negative thing I have to say is the cord length could be a lot longer. But I already had a hardwire version installed from previous camera that went bad.

Bought 2 of these for my and the wifes car.The camera itself is nice. Has good picture and recording quality. Especially at night. It has given me issues. Not a big one though. What it's doing is it causes radio noise (static).... in both our radios. Going to try clip on ferrite to see if the problem is solved. No biggie. ... show more

This is not the clearest camera with all the bells and whistles, but it does a good job for the price. I recently drove across the country and the camera recorded footage the whole way. If you spend more money you will get a bigger screen with more detailed video. But this one is enough for my travels. The wide angle is nice, especially when on a wide highway or to see anything off on the side of the road. I recommend it for anyone needing a budget security camera for their vehicle. ... show more

This little dash cam does what it is supposed to. Both the forward and rear dash cams work well during the day. It is a bit more difficult to see fine detail during the night or rain. The adhesive for the rear camera did not stick that well. I have it installed inside the car on the back window. A little super glue kept it from falling. I'm not sure how long the battery lasts and how long the motion sensor works after turning the car off. There was a bit of a learning curve to set up the cameras. The biggest negative is there is no instruction manual telling you how to set up the functions on the camera or what each of the settings do. Other than that, it's a good camera and worth the money. Use this camera more for recording while driving vs security when the car is parked. This is by far the best investment I have made in the city I live. However, the instructions are very vague and took a bit to figure it out. Another point would be that it DOES NOT turn off with the car or turn on, so I have to manually do it. Besides that, I’m glad I got it for peace of mind.

Wonderful product, was a gift to my sister, no problems setting it up with minors adjustments. Quality of picture clear, night time vision clear enough and could improve but it’s worth the buy. Back up camera is a plus addition. Only took one adjustment and the length of wire is good enough. Just have to keep up with SD card in and output of media to keep reusing card. The app setup was a process but has been running smoothly. My sister loves the product and was great watching her setup and raving about it on text about what and how it’s been going and it has been only good things.
