I bought this for my parents as a Christmas gift. My mom had her hip replaced and I wanted to get her something that would make cleaning easier but not too high tech because I live too far away to be able to program it for her. The remote control is much easier for my mom to learn how to use than a smartphone. My mom put it together and texted me videos of the robot returning to charge its battery and said it does a great job of picking up the dog hair. The vacuum does what is supposed to although it's never consistent. One day it'll clean the room in long straight passes, and other days it just spins in circles and goes over the same area over and over never making a straight pass and rarely gets all of the floor before it decides to go home to charge. When it makes straight passes it gets 90% of the floor but when it circles over and over it barely gets 40%. I have had a roomba and a Bob sweep, they always made straight passes before edge cleaning. For the price it's great. I did notice a design issue after using it for a while, the exhaust port is on the back left of the unit and it points towards the ground so it blows dust under couches and other places it can't reach so I modified it to blow upward no longer disturbing the surrounding area. (Photo included) The filter and catch bin are very easy to clean, I have 4 dogs and it's amazing how much fur fits in the bin. The battery lasts long enough to do my 15x40 kitchen/living room. It's also great for cleaning under beds. It has different modes for more suction or quieter operation, fast and slow speeds. ... show more

I have more stuff than I have condo and that's a little bit of a problem. My living room rug Scooch up on itself and that's been a little bit of a problem. It can get stuck under the couch or one of its feelers pop off, but that is fantastic Because it comes off easily it doesn't break and it's very easy to pop it back on and let it start cleaning again. Because I get to choose the pattern cleans and I no longer have this bouncing all over the place all the dirt roaming vacuum. It's almost like I have my own fancy Remote control item. I wouldn't want to leave it running in my house because I don't know. Maybe I need control or the illusion of it. All cleaning requires First picking up so that we can clean and these things are no different. I am amazed at how well it does with pet and human hair . I had another Covid back in January and my hair started falling out again. There was no way to blame the dog. This was obviously my hair and I just took a little scissor around and pulled it off and clipped it back on there and it was a dynamite, dust machine again dirt really gross dirt .     • BEWARE! Warranty expires just before average battery life!
EDIT: It has been over a year since I purchased this robot vacuum. Initially worked fine, but about a year after purchase, it would not charge anymore. After contacting customer support, I learned that the battery must be dead and I have to buy a new one for $30-35. I find it suspicious that the warranty period is one year, and the life of the battery was just a month or two after that. As you can see in my review below, I used this vacuum more than the average person, but also in a small studio apartment, meaning that the total runtime can't be too far from average; if you buy this vacuum, prepare to "subscribe" to buying the battery in addition to the accessories every year. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Scheduling my vacuum was important for me, since I have a small space and didn't want it constantly bumping into my feet at my desk or distracting me with its noise. I did manage to download the affiliated app to do this, albeit with difficulty. The remote control function, in my opinion, is not useful enough for me to use on a regular basis; there's quite a bit of lag since the commands have to go through the wifi network. It lets you rotate the vacuum clockwise or counterclockwise and move forward. I'd rather just get up and physically move the robot. Suction power is acceptable; it picks up small grains of cat litter, but has partial success with the larger bits of paper I tested (half an inch by half an inch). It's a bit heavier than I expected, but doesn't bump into things like a truck, which I greatly appreciate. With how much my cat sheds, the vacuum does make a noticeable difference. For this, it gets 4 stars. The battery life so far has been acceptable, although the vacuum will automatically go dock to charge at a pretty high battery percentage, which is confusing. Pro, the app lets me schedule times for the robot to go off every weekday. I imagine for most people with regular schedules this is very helpful. I also prefer to have the robot operate while I'm away from home for convenience, but given the irregularity of my schedule as a student, I wish I had a setting to just set a time and date I want the robot to activate, rather than a time that must repeat every Monday, for example. I check the "floor plan" in the app every now and then, which makes it evident that it does not save the layout of the room. At all. If this is important to you, I'd advise a different robot. It has great difficulty after getting under something. It looks like, after bumping into something, it automatically circles around to cover the perimeter of said obstacle. This is helpful if you have, for example, a large couch or piece of furniture. This is much less helpful when the robot gets stuck under my desk chair and simply cannot get out, because every time it circles the perimeter of one foot of the chair, it bumps into another foot, and starts circling that one. It'll repeat its circular marathon down there for quite a while until it eventually hits a low enough battery to seek charging and then find its way out. The side brushes also seem to have fatigued a bit quickly. They did, however, include backup side brushes for replacement with the purchase. Overall, mostly meets expectations with a few nice surprises, but does not exceed them enough to get a 5 star from me. ... show more

    • Battery/Charging problems - Purchased 12/4/23 and already has stopped charging!!
I have loved my Airrobo P20 for 5 months. It does a great job and is easy to use. But now it won't charge! I have tried everything short of replacing the battery. I feel that the battery should last longer than 5 months! I have cleaned the charging plates, moved it to another outlet, cleaned it very well. This is SO frustrating and the replacement battery costs $31.00! Other than that, it is a wonderful vacuum. ... show more
