  • quality item
This air filter has a very strong but quiet fan that draws in a lot of air. The first one I had did not work but it was replaced without an issue. The filter is quit big and it will catch a lot of the pollen and dust in the air. My wife has already commented on the air being cleaner in our condo. There are several speeds and a timer if you choose to use them. We have it constantly on at level 2 and it is working nicely. ... show more

  • Good Air Purifier And It's Quiet
I grabbed this because one of my roommates is a smoker, and I was looking for a way to clear some of the smokey smell (it comes into my bedroom window). I don't know anything about air purifiers so I don't know if it's doing much of anything or not. I can say the filter is already pretty dirty, so it must be doing something. One thing I was surprised about was how quiet this is. Overall, I would say it's a decent air purifier and I would recommend it. ... show more

  • Good working air purifier.
Hello everyone, I bought this item for our den, we regularly have smoker's over who we allow to smoke when visiting, so we decided to put an air purifier in the room to keep it from getting smoked out, and to remove the odor when they leave. I can say that I have been really happy with the results I have gotten from this air purifier and I can compare it evenly with my LEVOIT air purifier which also works very well for the same purposes. This air purifier is about 20% cheaper than the Levoit I purchase and I will say that if I had the option again I would purchase this air purifier, if not for the price difference, for the volume of air it can cycle. This air purifier is suitable for small dorm sized rooms all the way up to larger dens. I would say a 25x25 Ft. room would be adequately cycled for most scenarios and even cigarette smoke removal. The device features a three layered HEPA media filter and these are generally the same across the board from what I have seen. This filter is just about the same as the more expensive model's filter that I use just slightly larger and in a different dimension. The unit itself is fairly large, and is roughly the size of a smaller garbage can. It weighs next to nothing and is easily moved around. The front face of the unit features the air input side and is made of a perforated plastic grill for good airflow into the filter. The front comes off for easy cleaning and wasn't difficult to remove. The filter is removable and replaceable, but I don't know where to get the filters at the time that I am writing this review. I will just assume I can order them from the seller later when I need them. The back of the filter has a handle for easy carrying. The top of the unit is the air output and feature controls. The feature controls are all capacitive touch controls and work very well. You have different fan speeds, a timer, and a button to press when you replace the filter. This button works as a timer for the expected life of the filter. Personally, I don't use this feature on air filters because I tend to get almost twice the life out of a filter than they typically suggest. The fan settings are fairly quiet, and silent on low setting, but when you put the fan on high it is absolutely loud. Somewhere in the vicinity of a box fan or even louder? Either way, I still use it on high setting even though it is loud. Why? Because on high setting the filter can clear a room very quickly. Other times I just leave it on low and still enjoy the benefits of the filter. As for removing particulates, and allergens from the air? I feel like I enjoy a much cleaner atmosphere with this device working. I do believe it removes the allergens very well. I can suggest it for these purposes also. Overall its a bulky little device with several positive notes and I can suggest it to anyone looking for a nice budget friendly option air filter for just about any modest scenario. I gave this item 5 stars purely for its ability to clear the air. I would give extra points for quality of the device and overall satisfaction. A+ rating, highly suggested. This item came to me next day, boxed with instructions. The item came to undamaged and with no defects. • Early use review - seems very good, and very quiet on lowest setting.
The media could not be loaded. I just set up this air purifier today, and so far am happy with it. It's very easy to set up and has an easy to install and replace filter. To get started, you only need to unwrap the filter from its plastic packaging, pop it back in place, plug it in and turn it on. The purifier unit has three settings, shown on the controls as I, II, and III, which you cycle through using a single button. The lowest setting (I) is extremely quiet bordering on silent. The middle setting is pretty unobtrusive and the highest setting is noticeable (see posted video for comparison) but still not bad. I used a sound measuring phone app at 12" distant with the fan on the highest setting and measured about 70 dB. That's about the same as a washing machine or dishwasher in the background. I would happily run it on the highest setting all day long in smoky conditions. It is easy to cycle between the three speeds. There are timer settings as well, for 2, 4, and 8 hours. The purifier is very light, and it would be very easy to move it into the bedroom at night on the lowest setting (there is an inset in the back for carrying it). My husband and I both suffer from allergies, live in a (very fine glacial) dust and pollen-filled area, and have 4 cats. We have an electrostatic filter on our HVAC unit, but expect this will catch a lot of particulate matter before it gets into the duct work. I plan on having a look at the filter in a few days to see what it's been pulling out of the air. Hoping to see lots of pollen and fur. See the photo of my backpack on the front porch to see the pollen environment we are dealing with right now. And lastly, a note on what a CADR rating is (I didn't know and had to look it up). The Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) is the industry standard for measuring the air flow of filtered air and indicates the volume in cubic meters of filtered air an air cleaner delivers, with separate scores for tobacco smoke, pollen and dust. The higher the CADR number for each pollutant, the faster the unit filters the air. The CADR is based on the highest fan speed at 5 air changes per hour. I assume that the 1,950 sq-ft space specified is when using the highest fan setting. This purifier has a CADR of 400 but doesn't say if it is for smoke, dust, or pollen. It is an H13 filter, which I know will filter smoke very effectively. Incidentally, AHAM, the regulating body that sets the standards for air purifiers, recommends that for wildfire smoke, you should choose a smoke CADR equal to the size of your room in square feet. I have set this up in our family room and kitchen area, which is probably about 15 x 25 feet (375 sq-ft) and am hoping if we have a bad wildfire season, it will help a lot. Last time we had wildfire smoke, I had to make a DIY purifier from a window fan and furnace filters, which worked pretty well, but is not a long term solution. This will be much better. ... show more
