Setting it up was super easy right out of the box. The front plate pops off or forward if needed, then you just remove the plastic from the filter and unplug it from the compartment. Plug it in, and you're good to go with clean, fresh air. I keep it running all the time to keep the air circulating and filtered. The design looks awesome, and the instructions are super simple. I’ve got it on auto, but you can adjust the speed if you want. I really like the color-coded light that shows the air quality. My sister recommended this, so I decided to give it a shot. When I got the first one of these air purifiers I put it in the main room of our daylight basement and it worked well. So well that I have since ordered several more. We have pets - two dogs and a cat - and the basement sometimes smells like a pet store. After a few hours running this on the high setting, there was such a noticeable improvement. So much so that I asked my wife if she had sprayed air freshener or something downstairs. She hadn't. I was amazed. The overall design is good. Air intake is on the front, and air outlet is on the top. This means the air purifier could be positioned with the back side directly up against a wall and it would still be effective. Fit and finish is okay. The device is reasonably nice looking. Right out of the box the front panel has to be removed to access the power cord and to remove the plastic cover from the filter. The front panel feels like it's going to break when it's pulled. Not a confidence-inspiring feeling, and a little surprising to see such a rudimentary panel clip design in a modern device. There are three fan settings labeled I, II, and III with III being the highest. A timer function allows for run times of two, four or eight hours before automatic shutoff. If the timer function isn't used, the air purifier will run indefinitely. Sound output is totally reasonable and pretty normal for this type of device even on the high setting. However, the claim of 22dB (presumably at the low fan setting) is dubious. On the low setting this air purifier is louder than 22dB. I don't have equipment to verify it, but from my experience with medical devices I'm positive the claimed sound output rating is incorrect. To me it sounds roughly like 35dB, 38dB, and 42dB for levels I, II, and III, respectively. Considering a normal conversation is around 60db, this device is quiet enough. Maximum power consumption is 24W. That's equivalent to a dim old-fashioned incandescent light bulb, or a CPAP machine running without a heated humidifier. In other words, cost of operation is negligible. Controls are capacitive touch buttons so just a very light touch of a finger is required to activate the button. These are not push buttons. The control panel can be locked using the lock button. To unlock, the same lock button must be touched for about five seconds. The included power cord is a little short. Some users may need to use an extension cord if the desired location is the middle of a large room. This air purifier is easy to set up and easy to use. It looks pretty good, and it makes a noticeable difference in air quality in a relatively short period of time. A better front panel clip release design might make this a 5-star device. After such a good experience with the first purifier I ordered more of the same. This second one is also in the main room of our basement. I am going to war against pet smells. 😉 I highly recommend ordering replacement filters. Be aware that Amazon may recommend the WRONG filter. This is the P280 purifier. I saw Amazon suggest the filter for the P400 purifier is "frequently bought together" with this P280 device. The filter for the P400 will not fit this P280. Search Amazon for ASIN B0DBJ6S6KZ to buy the 2-pack of replacement HEPA filters for the P280. ... show more

This is a great size air purifier. I like how small it was that it could easily fit on my desk without taking up too much room. This will help keep my workstation and work area having purified air. It was relatively quiet and I liked to design. I found the controls easy to use and I like the overall look of it. It seems like a pretty standard air purifier. It’s relatively straightforward to use, but make sure you read the directions. Make sure you take all the plastic wrap off, especially along the filter or it will not work properly. Love this air purifier. We have two dogs - an older dog and a new puppy - and this has taken so much out of the air, stuff I didn't even know was in the air that was causing everyone to cough and sneeze. It was easy to get up and running straight out of the box. The front face plate pops forward - or off if you need it to - and all you have to do is take the plastic off the filter and pull the plug in out of the inner cubby.     • Moves a lot of air
I must say that the first one I received did not work, but the manufacturer was quick to resolve the problem and sent me another one right out. I like this air purifier because it is easy to use, and is lightweight enough to move it around in the house from one floor to another. The HEPA filter is sturdy and substantial. It really moves a lot of air and there are 3 settings to choose from. It is not silent, but does not make too much noise on the low setting.
