Totally love this portable air conditioner. On my first floor I have close to 1300 ft.² and vaulted ceilings. When I read the reviews for this particular AC, I thought that it could only cool down 350 ft.². I have no separation in my first floor. Everything is open floor plan and vaulted ceilings, and it’s doing an amazing job in cooling down this entire floor! I think it also helps that it’s sitting on top of the island. There’s nothing obstructing the flow of air and I also bought the extra piece the accessory for my sliding glass door, I have a bucket For the drain and I have a piece of packaging from the box that I got the AC from actually holding up the EXHAUST hose , if you look, that’s what you’ll see with the barstool . I’M VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE. TRYING TO KEEP MY ELECTRICITY COST DOWN MY BIG AC TO COOL DOWN A 3000 Square-foot house can be quite expensive so I take this and just in the main room that I use is the only thing that I cool down saving big time on money love love love this thing and I highly recommend it ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We are in a humid environment, but outdoor temps do not get over 83 degrees. We wanted this for a large living area/kitchen to make itcooler and dryer during sunny afternoons. Set up was easy. It does this effectively. But, unless ours is not functioning properly, it needs a drain on the cool setting. The instruction say that a drain is only needed on the dehumidify setting, but we found that not to be true. I rigged it to drain in a bucket that gets full and needs to be emptied daily. I will get a longer drain hose, drill a hole on the window vent adapter, and route the drain hose outside. The video attached shows how much condensate water is being produced on the cool setting. Way too much for the small holding pan in the unit. Possibly if you live in a very dry climate you will not need a drain for the cool setting. ... show more

    • Nice little machine, but doesn't cool down more than 3 feet in front of it.
I bought this for my 2 car garage. I bought larger BTU then recommended thinking it would be great. It is cool if you are standing right at it, but behind it where the hot air is pumped out is horrendous. Def. needs a better insulated exhaust pipe. Really only cool for about 2-3 feet in front of it. I put a fan in font of it and it helps a little but the machine actually heats up the air it is pumping out the back offsetting most of any cool air it is pumping out. Might actually cool things down a bit if the garage is full insulated, but don't expect a whole lot from this rather large machine. Once it gets cooler outside and I can tolerate it being off to work on better exhaust and insulating the garage a little better, I hope this will perform better next summer. ... show more

I purchased this for my small bedroom. Installation is simple, and technical support is actually very helpful. This a/c works almost too well. There is some obvious a/c system noise. But I actually enjoy it while trying to sleep. I did have an issue with the unit at first. But the seller sprang into action and quickly rectified the matter.     • Doesn’t work in 60% relative humidity. Condensation on circuit board.
In summary. If humid don’t get this unit. Long explanation. The control circuit board is flat horizontal exposed to warm air entering behind the unit. Top of unit gets cold running ac, Condensation water builds up on to the circuit board attached to top underside of unit shorting out the board rendering the unit inoperable (mine shorted after 38 days). I have another unit same manufacturer and board rusted out permanently about 30 days once it started shorting out. In beginning the “mode, fan speed” starts changing at random, then unit won’t stay running, finally the board rusts and inoperable. From there if it totally rusts out you either need to replace the board (good luck they are in China) or manually remove the wires off the board connecting to mechanical switches or other option. I dried the circuit board on my newest unit learning from my older unit, short was reversed. I have to consider options before running cool mode again. I could move the control board outside the unit in a plastic box that will solve the problem. Otherwise it’s a beautiful quiet unit. I have 3 from this manufacturer, 2 of 3 in 60% relative humidity same shorting out issue. Puddle of water on the board. Just a note you can remove water first time… Lay unit flat on its back to drain the water off the control board and leave it in that position for 30 minutes. If first time I think that will fix it. Keeps happening you need to open the unit and blow dry the board before it rusts permanently. Running fan only doesn’t dry the board once puddle of water builds on the board. It will operate normally once the board is dry. It’s rebranded from China, the seller is not the manufacture, seller likely sells many other rebranded units under the Air Choice name brand. Look for one with a different looking control pad to hopefully locate a different manufacturer. My 3rd unit from this manufacturer is many years old running in 45% relative humidity never had control board issue. Works fine in 45% relative humidity. Doesn’t in (60% relative humidity). I don’t like giving low stars but can’t run in 60% relative humidity or unit will short out, can’t give good rating. ... show more
