Chair was pretty easy to assemble (maybe 20 minutes), didn't need special tools. The seat cushion is very very firm. The arms are a bit on the low side, so you can't really sink into the chair and get comfortable. I bought it so we had an extra place for kids to sleep when they came into town, so it suits that purpose. I wouldn't recommend as a regular chair only due to the lack of softness, but when it pulls out into a bed, it's very convenient. The chair was not wrapped with anything, and the fabric looks a little dirty possibly from being handled before/during shipping but the fabric seems sturdy and could be cleaned easily. I like the footrest that tucks into the chair. Makes it easier to fit into my small space. The wheels on the bottom of the chair are convenient when I need to move it from one room to the next. Overall happy with it but I don't plan on keeping it as a regular chair in my living room, which would have been super convenient. ... show more

I love this chair! 😀 It was very simple to assemble. Changes positions easily. Sturdy. Great for small spaces. And the price was very reasonable. Great sleeper..as long as you aren't too fluffy or tall..it isn't a soft chair ( but I have a bad back so I prefer firm cushioning for sleep).

This chair, which requires some assembly, could potentially be useful if it had extra padding. As it stands, it might serve as a basic chair or an emergency bed for a small person. However, I wouldn't recommend it for daily sitting or as an overnight bed for anyone over 120 pounds. The assembly process is on par with similar products, but it involves tight spaces and instructions without words. The challenge is compounded by the use of flat black screws and tools on black material, necessitating a well-lit area and a flashlight for assembly. I also discovered a staple protruding from the end plate, positioned perfectly to cause a major scratch. The current padding is about what you'd find on a padded kitchen chair, and when laid flat, there's an uncomfortable ridge across your back, which becomes more bothersome the heavier you are. Chairs are like sitting on almost dried cement and much smaller than I realized. Small person barely fits lengthwise. Return policy is what you could expect when they don’t want it back…everything has to be in the “original” packaging, placement, unassembled and pictures sent. Not worth the purchased low price with $70 shipping added, then have to pay additional shipping. Our mistake, but will NEVER buy from vendor again. ... show more

At first reading the reviews I was a bit skeptical about the comfort of these chairs. I chose them because I like the fact it could fold out for guest or just a mid day nap after eating a large lunch. I added some wheels so that I may move it around in my shop and for easy cleaning underneath. The only issue I have is the blocks that stop the foot rest from coming all the way out should be a little wider or longer. Other than that it is a simple build and (it's not a Serta mattress but) fairly comfortable chair for a great price! I love it so much I brought a total of three and will be buying the yellow one next! ... show more

Overall I am happy with the chair, once I finally got it assembled. It is not the softest chair, a little firm- but love that it has so many functions. It looks great in my space. The box is pretty big too- larger than I thought. It was a problem at my apartment building, as it was left in the foyer by Amazon without letting me know. Definitely need two people to bring the box in or a dolly to pull it on. I was overwhelmed at first with the amount of parts and pieces to put together. I ended up having to install it the morning after it arrived, and was able to get it together. It just takes some patience, and a cup of coffee to put together! ... show more
