We use this as a dog pen enforcement and it's been working great. It only takes two or three shocks before. The dogs really don't want to go test the fence or dig underneath it. Very glad my dogs are safe. Good value for the money. Seems sturdy. Appears to be good quality. Very easy to install.

This thing was kept covered and protected from rain on day one. It worked very well for nearly 6 mo. then just quit working. Tested the unit directly at the unit and it simply isn't putting out any juice. Removed the back cover to check for a possibly blown fuse. No such thing on this cheesy junk. This fence charger is great. Works great to keep our pigs from roaming to the neighbors. Works well with chickens, ducks, and dogs. Keeps them in the designated areas and out of trouble. Also keeps unwanted creatures out of the designated areas.

    • Strong shock works good
Unit itself works great, but the 110 plug went out very quickly, they should change the design for a normal plug from the unit and not use ac adapter, still works with a car battery, would rather run on 110 but canā€™t seem to find a new 110 plug to order

    • Cheap but works
So I have a electric fence around my Bee hivee because I live in the woods in PA. So because of that we have a lot of black bear, raccoons and other pest that have tried or have gotten near my hives. I have this energizer hooked to a 12V Solar battery with has a solar panel and NOTHING so far has gotten to my hives. I have a cell game camera on hives so I can see if anything messes with or walks by. So far this energizer has stopped 1 racoon and 2 black bear. So would I recommend this product, YES and definitely for the price. ... show more

    • Exactly what we needed to protect our furbabies
I have two standard poodles that continuously dug under or jumped over the 5' fence, nothing we did stopped them and they'd disappear for hours while we searched for them. We live in the country with coyotes, stray dogs/cats, and a bobcat, we're also about 2.5 miles from a main highway, so I needed to keep my furbabies safe. I finally, reluctantly, decided to put up an electric fence to protect them. The first day, we sat outside with them, after we easily and quickly installed these electric fence synthetic rubber gate handles, electric fence posts, upgraded electric fence polywire, and electric fence energizer, they tried yet again to get out of the yard. They got zapped, yelped, and haven't tried to get out of the yard in two months. FYI, Hubby and I both tried it first to be sure it wouldn't harm them, it was a jolt, but we all survived lol.     • This is crap. Donā€™t buy one
I purchased this item in November to be used this spring and installed it only to find the unit is defective. I reached out to the parent company and can not get a response. I trusted products sold on Amazon and Iā€™m very disappointed. I can not return it because the return window has closed. This was an Amazon pick. Steer away from it Up date. They reached out to me apologized and told me they would send me a new one. Well itā€™s been over two months and I still havenā€™t received it. ... show more

unit seems to work ok, but when i plugged in the 12v plug it was intermittent. not having the luxury of waiting to eturn/ the unit and waiting for a replacement i opened it up and replaced the plug with a waterproof plug for battery operation. works fine now. that said, it seems to put out a healthy pulse and time will tell how reliable it os and how waterproof it remains. i gave a 3 star overall rating simply because of the mostly non functioning plug where someone less adept at electronics would have had to send the unit back for replacement. ... show more
