I work from home most of the time, occasionally going into the office, and I like this shampoo for the weeks when I don’t go into the office. It probably sounds strange to specify, but I’ll explain: When I don’t have an office day, I usually put minimal product into my hair – usually just a little bit of leave-in conditioner to make sure my hair is moisturized and maybe a tiny bit of a lightweight gel to get some slight hold. When I have this little bit of product in my hair, this AG Care shampoo cleans my hair well. However, when I do have an office day, I usually use more styling products to make sure my definition lasts in the NYC weather and that I can get a few days out of my curls after that. On these weeks, using this shampoo doesn’t seem to be enough to leave my hair feeling truly clean unless I shampoo twice, which I don’t like doing. Overall, I do think this is a good product, but it’s important to consider how many styling products/how much of each you’re using in your hair if you want to avoid buildup. ... show more

I'm curious about the moisturizing focus because for me, with high porosity, fine, voluminous, 2A-3A curls it really isn't moisturizing at all, but it does give me some of my best curls. The first time I used this I was actually surprised that my hair felt a little dry directly after shampooing, but then I did my style routine and not only were my curls more bouncy they lasted longer too! I would definitely suggest following this up with a good moisturizing conditioner, and if your hair is very dry I might even suggest steering clear, but I love this and will definitely buy it again. I want to get the conditioner too, just have too many other shampoos/conditioners right now. ... show more

I have heard about this brand from one of my friends as they have very high quality hair products so I was excited to try this shampoo for curly hair. The packaging is very basic but it’s a really good quality shampoo as it’s paraben and sulfate free. The texture is not so thick but it blends perfectly on hair and creates good amount lather. My favorite feature of AG Care Curl Fresh Shampoo is the ability to add some bounce to my fine hair. This shampoo softened my hair, and allowed some of the natural wave to really come through. I have a good amount of body in my hair that other shampoos weigh down. This shampoo is lightweight; it adds shine and body, and my hair feels conditioned with the shampoo alone. While not a complete game changer, we were surprised that this actually seems to make a difference on our curly hair. That is really rare in a shampoo. They usually don't make much difference in frizz level so for this to make even a small difference, we are giving it five stars. It left our hair soft and reduced the frizz by about 10-20% when used with our usual conditioner and styling products.
