  • Works great, packaging is a little iffy
Color: 10W (3.5W Output Power)
Very easy to use and install. Using on a retrofitted 3d printer I had laying around. My biggest gripe is that the packaging is not very sturdy and the box came damaged. Luckily the laser seemed to be intact, the casing was just a bit scratched.

  • it seemed to work
Color: 10W (3.5W Output Power)
so this is a bit odd as I did not get to fully go over this item before my little CNC stepper motors died on me (waiting on replacements says it will be over a month) so I'll go over what I can with how much I got to use it so first off the glasses, mine came pre marked up and scratched to hell and back, the close up photo shows some of it but not the full story, before trusting my eyes to these I set them up about 3 feet away from the laser with some photo sensitive paper behind it, it reacted to the laser and hard so these are no good got some other protective glasses for this. so safety out of the way, next is mounting, I have a 3018 CNC mill that this was going to run in, the laser did not fit the normal mount off the bat, and its mounting hole did not line up with either cnc mills mounting plate nor my 3D printers mounting plate, so had to print an adapter for it to work in either I got about 10 runs of the laser trying to focus it before my stepper motors died on me this guy was hard to get dialed in, he came not even close and it feels like the laser wants to be closer to the work piece then my cnc can get it in its current setup (it was about 1 inch away) once I get new steppers I plan to 3D print an addon to make it easier to do smaller changes on the focus and will likely clean the lens in hopes that it helps ... show more

  • Very basic Laser module
Color: 10W (3.5W Output Power)
This is a very basic 'entry level' diode laser module. The 10watt is the input power with a rated 3.5watts of optic output power. There are modules with many times the power ratings but this should be good for my project to add basic laser engraving to a larger CNC router table. The larger mass cannot move as fast as the new laser engraver only tables so the lower power should work fine with the lower speeds of movement. The module is small and light but seems to be well constructed. It comes with several different interface cables to match up to different controllers. Also included is a basic quality pair of green safety glasses which are essential when using these intense lasers. Everything was well packaged in a foam lined box. But it is also important to note what you do NOT get with this package that does come with higher end packages. First there was no paperwork in the box. So print out the info from the Amazon listing as far as connections. Many other options also have a safety shield skirt around the bottom, an air assist nozzle, or a height setting focus block, or a power supply for the laser. This basic module does not have any of these, so you do kind of get what you pay for. I found a basic 12vdc power supply that did just plug into the power only cable and the laser does fire up. It should do exactly what I want as an initial add on to my CNC router. I may later upgrade to another full CNC laser engraver or kit but this will get me started. Know what you are getting but seems like a quality basic module. ... show more

  • Not comparable to output of other 10 w
Color: 10W (3.5W Output Power)
It doesn’t seem like it’s a terrible laser just nearly as strong as it is advertised. About half of the power of my other 10w It’s good to have around as a back up or something.

  • Cheap intro laser
Color: 10W (3.5W Output Power)
This entry-level laser cutter offers a basic package, including essential accessories like cabling and protective glasses. However, its advertised 10W power output is misleading, as the actual optical output is only 3W. This discrepancy is particularly frustrating for someone like me who relies on lasers for woodworking, where the actual power is crucial. At 3W, this laser lacks the capability to cut through materials, a task feasible with a true 10W laser. This misrepresentation in marketing creates false expectations about its cutting abilities. Additionally, the laser falls short in user-friendliness, lacking features like a focusing lever for easy vertical adjustment and a casing for air-assist. The absence of a bracket for quick laser removal further limits its functionality. While it might serve as a basic introduction for newcomers to laser cutting, its limitations could be a source of disappointment for others seeking more advanced capabilities. ... show more

  • 10W is the max power DRAW, not the optical power.
Color: 10W (3.5W Output Power)
This is probably more like a 3-5W Diode laser, be aware of how these are marketed. It won't compare to an expensive CO2/YAG laser. I got this to retrofit a CNC table into something I could etch paint and burn wood with.

  • Decent quality laser but very inefficient
Color: 10W (3.5W Output Power)
I do a ton of laser cutting and engraving for my hobbies and this laser has worked out pretty well for me. I've ran it at 100% for 120 hours so far and it's still going strong. The lens adjustment is finicky, but workable. You'll be better off with an adjustable Z axis, but adjusting the lens is ok too. My main complaint is heat build up and inefficiency. A 10 watt (input) laser should have more than 3.5 output, and if you're making intricate designs this laser is going to add considerable time to your project because you'll needing to run slower. For the price, it's decent but not an outstanding deal. I recommend it but only as a beginner/basic laser for folks just starting out that don't want to break the bank. ... show more
